Yo mate, sorry for not visiting more frequently, just had a lot of stuff coming from everyside hahaha.
Ok there is improvement thats definite. You aksed for a site to learn color theory in depth. Well maybe i dont want to send it to you yet because you have to pay more attention to values first [maybe first read the tones chapter of loomis again and again and again and again, in creative illustration], ahahah anyway, ok here you go

    http://www.huevaluechroma.com/

i think you can also find mr briggs here in the forums if you want to ask him something specific in color.

Keep up having fun and studying, its good that you share your thoughts, no fool things at all, we have to constantly reminding ourselves why we are doing this and why we love it. But as i say our job has a hack, a cheat code, because the better you become, the easier and more rewarding it becomes. So built a very strong foundation

    lets keep up man!!!

Hoooly crap, man. I'm gone for a few weeks and you're already leaving me in the dust! The thumbnails from your last post look fantastic--how long do you spend on those? They read really well, and your designs are getting better. Also loving the most recent piece--great color choices; it starts looking really complete even early on in your process. Gotta step up my game, haha.

meps - my mate, good to see you around again. The thumbs took pretty long if i'm to be honest man, probably around 5-6 hours here and there between other stuff. I had trouble settling on an idea for this latest piece though so that delayed productivity. Time is short my friend, i remember when i first started all this i was 23, now in 26 and still have a ways to go. It scares me that my 20's are slipping through my fingers, gotta push the pace Cheers for your comment and support again man, your feedback is always appreciated.

baconstrap - Thanks man, glad you like. Cheers for stopping by, be sure to stay true to your bacony ways.

sorry it's been a while again, my tablet died on me the other day so i'm stuck with my small bamboo again Till i get that sorted i'm gonna hit the pencils again so i figured i'd post a portion of them.

heey folks, it's been a while. With this site constantly going under for repairs and with work and stuff ive slowly began to move away from this place.

Though the truth is it's awfully quite here now. This place is just a shell of what i remember it to be.

Sooo with that in mind i think i'm going to make this my last post in this sketchbook, unless things change, which i doubt they are. We'll have to see i guess. I doubt anyones even going to read this who gives a shit lol, but for the few people who perhaps want to keep following my progress, i'm still going to be posting regularly in this sketchbook - http://crimsondaggers.com/forum/thread-113-page-11.html so feel free to get in touch and drop by there sometime

I'll end with a recent piece i did, a rhino combined with nature/earth elements.

Love, love, the use of color in the rhino piece. I think you should look into finishing that soul collector guy, love the design on it.

    What an improvement!!
I like your fantasy concepts, you have a refreshing style and handle details very well
Is there a reason why you don't ever put signatures on your artworks?
    Putting my signature on a finished artwork is the artists greatest pride ;-;

Just love the world and it will love you back!!
And if it doesn't... Well...You can always make the perfect plan of destroying it!

    Hey, it's been a while :0

I noticed a lot of my images have been taken down by photobucket and I have some replies to this thread so thought it best to say hi Sorry for the late replies.

johnny24 - hey man, thanks! I used to write down my weaknesses and made plans to do a certain amounts in a day based on that, like 'finish 4 pages of heads by lunch' et but part from that nothing really lol. When you set yourself a schedule it's easy to fall into habit and stop challenging yourself, so just be careful with that lol. Saw your stuff in your sketchbook man and your stuff is awesome

eru - haha thanks a lot, I'm glad you like it

Dayle - cheers mate. I still linger in the shadows, just don't post as much now. A lot of my activity is based on the crimson daggers these days though.

Aissa78 - Thanks man, glad you think so. I still have a loooong way to go though. Thanks for stopping by

herp - Thanks man,i'm glad you like! I haven't really thought about that to be honest. I think the main reason is because I'm more focused on the process more than the end product, so I don't really care that much about what I make. Even after ive made a piece, I'm more concern with what's wrong with it and addressing my weaknesses than I am about what's right about it lol. Hope that makes sense, thanks again for dropping by

AdrianNagorski - hey Adrian, thanks for the kind words man. Yeah I finished that college course a while back now lol :p Still studying to get better though. I'll try to make a habit of posting more often, I still lurk around from time to time

kischi - Hey dude! Cheers also for stopping bye. I guess nothing lasts forever, and the best we can do is embrace to good moments and feel happy that we experienced them when they came. Though to be honest I came a bit late to the ca party myself haha so I cant really talk.

Photobucket has taken down a lot of my images Ive contacted them for a solution but they basically want money or for me to go fuck myself, so i'll probably be taking option 2 lol. Moral of the story is don't use photobucket. I was warned ages ago against it but I guess now ive learnt my lesson.

I might try to re-upload the stuff that was lost, in the mean time here's various bits from between august 2013 till now
