Negative space drawing and 30 or 45 sec drawings. All from posemaniacs.

Good start. What I did when i started out was to get a ream of copy paper, 500 sheets, and just scribble. If something looked like it wasn't working out, i'd go to the next blank page. That keeps it fresh. The important thing is that when you're starting out, you don't dwell on the details, keep it loose and keep it moving.

    And keep drawing!

Dutchman: thanks for your reply! I am just now managing to stay loose and moving - I have always been kind of stiff when drawing. The 30 sec drawings i do often a day now helps keeping it loose.

    Logo: Thank you, i will

great start, keep going doodling like in post #4 is also really helpful in its own way so feel free to dive into that as much as you need. some of my favourite drawings spawned from doodles and they help keep the mind loose

The Stormtrooper is made with the Brushes app on my Ipod Touch. Hard to do it with my fingers so i'm hoping to buy a stylus soon so i can doodle on it more easily:p

You got some cool studies in here, but I think you are lacking some fundamental structure in your stuff, It might be worth looking into getting loomis or bridgeman books.
