Its really hard to tell from the angle of the photo what it is I'm looking at (even if its not actually of anything but is more abstract). Compositionally, what I can tell is that there's alot of areas of dark that are competing with each other, and maybe some lighter areas with less saturation could help give it some contrast. It also looks like you're really heavy-handed with your paint - from the thickness of the lines you use to your general brushstrokes themselves, which often comes across as very crude if used everywhere throughout a piece (although there are some exceptions). I'd say start with taking a better picture using a more directly-overhead approach, or if its small enough, see how scanning it in might work. In general, I'd say its harder for myself (and alot of others out here) to provide useful critique on abstract pieces since alot of them are based on personal choices and personal senses of design rather than representational accuracy and the like.

Well this is cool and all...but what are we supposed to critique? first I don't know what is inside your soul, second I can't tell what you have on the page. If it is a creature, it could use some clarity. You should be working on stuff like enviros, still life studies, and figures. Wait until you have everything else down before working on the really deep stuff like that. Drawing what's inside the soul is a really intriguing idea though.
