I hope this is the right place to post this.
I've recently received a favourable reply after having sent my portfolio to a freelance job offer, for creating and animating characters for what seems like a small 2D side scroller. I've been asked for budget on 3 separate points:
- Concept for player character and enemies (6 types).
- Sprites for animation routines, about 100 for the player, 30 per enemy.
- 8 high-res graphic novel panels, for the game's intro.
Depending on the available time, this could be quite a task, especially point 2, but this being Portugal, where i live, my unfortunate lack of contact with this sort of work leaves me at a loss for numbers. I don't want to get greedy, but if i go for too low a price they might take me for a bottom feeder (hope i'm not) and write me off.
Would anyone know, and care to help me figure out how much i should go for?
