Hey Hazart! How come you are always left out in the dark when it comes to feedback? I checked your portfolio and you got some nice ideas going for you, now you just need to express them properly in the form of cg (hope I don’t sound too harsh).
Highlights and shading are not meant to make a image look good, but to define shapes, right now everything is a bit bumpy and the way you used the strokes make him look a bit hairy.
The effect of a piece diapering in the dark could work at times, but I would advice you to try something a bit more simple right now, I mean you are cable of creating solid outlines with a nice flow. So maybe start posting simple stuff and slowly going to the more advanced techniques. I will look forward to seeing more art from you!

    Reference:
I made this image a long time ago (not the frame, just the animation), It might be helpful to observe since I am using the simplest way of fading out to the dark. It is important to keep structure and make the image seem in one piece even though some parts are not as visible (that is where you missed). Cheers! :chug:

Oh and schnozz is a nose.

And all you can do is laugh

Mezz: Very nice of you to comment my work. That's just what I needed. I'm quite new in digital painting and world of colors is just opening to me. Before this I've only drawn a lot of comic style things. I hope to get some response and then I can improve my skills. I put your name in my mind with good thougts and try to learn from your words.

    :chug: Kippis! (Cheers in finnish)
