A study, inspired by my cousin's seaweed project during my Texel trip, and some black&white doodles.

Now it's really time for bed

Hey Mila, long time since I've seen your work and you are making progress,
dig your thumbnails too, are you going to finish them up ?
and dude the latest background does have some good colors going on, but I guess the values have to be adjusted I guess so that its easy to make sure things are in the background, cant wait to see it finished

Heya Mila! Thanks for dropping by~

First of all, tremendous job on your improvement from your first page.

Your enviros have become much more polished, have better mood overall, superd focal points and really nice compositions.

What I miss are portraits, character/creature concepts and some fantasy/sci-fi stuff(that's just my preference though).

Critique? Hmm on your enviro with those crystals in the grass: keep in mind that the sky is and will always have the lightest contrast and of course the brightest, since it's the main light source.
I would also work more on the foreground, I know you wanted to highlight that city in the back, but the closer the things to our eyes are, the more detailed they are.

But still, liking where this is going!

    Will definitely follow this SB.

PeterPrime You're right about what's missing in this sketchbook.

I like painting environments and landscapes mostly, but in order to advance myself, I really should consider painting portraits, start studying anatomy, etc. My new internship is already helping me with that.

Sadly, I'm not allowed to show any of the projects I'm working on. Maybe later this year!

Thanks for taking your time to comment on my sketchbook and helping me with my latest creation. Here's an update

Suggestion: Maybe some small insects or critters in the foreground to give the enviro an ecosystem and personality? Nice work Mila.

Hell Vulgar! Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook again.
I took your advice and added some 'lightning' bugs. I suppose it's not much, but it really brings the painting to life.

    Here's another update:

Hey Mila, nice sketchbook. I see big improvement on last pages, your environments are looking great. Keep doing studies, it really helps.

I like last environment. Really nice values and sense of depth. Some suggestions: Maybe it will help to crop image and move focal point from center. And add some foreground elements. I made quick overpaint to show what I mean. I hope you don't mind.

I really like your EoW piece. Especially left side of the painting. Really liking the sand effects in there and very nice colors. These newest one look good also. Looking forward of seeing the amazon chick

Man nice progress! Really nice range of values in #226 although the tree is kinda trying to grab my attention. Also loving the colours in the EOW. Is it all hand painted?

    Satu - Thanks!
Kvenh - I really appreciate you're checking my sb! Thanks for the kind words. It's all handpainted, but I used some reference for the verhicle and some of the buildings in the back.
htkpeh - Thanks brother. Stay classy!

Been more active on internship lately than personal stuff. But here's a study during lunch Will finish later I suppose.
