    Good stuff here.
Keep in mind perspective and construction, and how distance affects valuerange and colour dynamics considering the atmosphere.
    keep it up.

Very nice mood in the last stuff, it's quite evoking, wich is hard to achieve many times, I'd only suggest to make some studies on hard edge / soft edge relation, it's the only thing that's lacking a bit to me. Altought nice stuff!

Havn't been by in a while! That internship is doing great things for you, the atmosphere and mood in your scenes are really coming through. It's fun to see the difference between your first page and this one. A world of difference.
Keep up the hard work & happy sketching ^_^

Hey man, the last one is looking good

I'm not quite feeling the elevation of the ground. It kinda feels like the ground keeps getting lower towards the middle of the island from the point of the waterfall.

You environments are getting beter and beter, which is great to see!

I think you strongest environments are the ones where you focus more on the big shapes and form as apposed to some of your earlier ones which had lots of blurry and small brushstokes. So yeah, just keep heading in the direction your going in i guess Maybe do some black and white photo studies and really push those forms and edges. Some urban environments and buildings could be useful training too.

I know what you mean about finishing up on submissions too, time can be a real bitch when it comes to that. That being said, if your able to find the time to really push a piece to a solid finish i'm sure it will help in the long run and also give you an awesome portfolio piece.

Keep improving man, im lookin forward to seeing more.

I really like that island painting. Very beautiful colors in it.
Though I agree with Kvenh's crit about it. But still very beautiful looking.
I see you're landscapes are getting better and better. Wish you'd update more often though.

    htkpeh Thanks buddy :]

Kvenh So glad you stopped by again. You were right about the front end of the island. The art director dind't want me working on it anymore for now. Soon I'll have time and finish it ( and properly adjust that flaw )

warburton Glad you like my recent stuff. And you're right about those studies. I've build up a small collection of study material. It's time to get cracking soon.

Satu I do indeed need to update more often.. thanks for your kind words and dropping by!

Here's a small selection of recent stuff. All project related stuff.

So I came across this website:

    http://www.thomlab.com/gallery.htm

Found it really inspiring and wanted to share with ya'll !

Here's some more work from this week.

Two studies, one of which is the front of the appartment complex where I live. Took me forever.

Then there's a few quick thumbnails of a friend's dreamscape I'm trying to capture. Will start working on the 2nd thumb soon. :]

and last but not least some stuff I'm working on during my internship.
I never did quite finish the old version I was working on, alas.

    Enjoy!

Nice looking new stuff! I really like your islands and your trees.
Also the water in the landscape on your latest post looks pretty good. I know it's very hard to make, I'm so lousy at it myself. The dreamscape thumbs look good so far. Interesting topic.

Ive got one environmental tip for you, based on what I've learnt recently, and that is to use a hard round brush with almost 100 percent opacity. I say this because if you do, you'll be FORCED to colour and value-pick accurately which will help you a lot. Good luck!

the studies on the last page are really good! Thanks for the support in my book man, I really appreciate it! I will definitely keep a better eye on your sb too I'm having problems coming up with a good crit to give you, because I really think you're on the right way, with everything. If there is anything I can say, it would be to focus more on getting the human element into your images.

Dile, Thanks so much for the kind words and advice. It means a lot coming from someone as talented as you. And indeed, don't be a stranger here!

A quick doodle after a visit to Texel. I feel so much more better and inspired since this weekend!
It's absolutely great, and I realised afterwards it was long due I did something like this.

I'll continue sketching for the following days and I will post more later tonight!
