My name is Caleb and Its my pleasure to introduce myself as an illustrator and inspiring conceptual artist. After traveling Cali and learning art from San Diego, LA, and Pasadena, life chewed me up and spat me out in a small town called Bend, Or. During the day I do back breaking work as a landscaper and during the night when all the parties are going on, I'm painting portraits and illustrations for my own business www.resurgamstudios.com. Its been very hard but I can finally call myself an artist for the first time in my life. Its been an amazing year. I began to paint for my friends, then I began to paint for my favorite bars and coffee shops. I soon got into the tradeoff business and began doing art shows throughout town. After a year of no sleep, I now have art work hung up throughout town promoting local business's. I get heavily involved with the art community here in bend [which isn't saying much lol] and do art shows whenever I can. This Winter, I'm planning on expanding my business and doing art shows all over the northwest and get involved with art walks in LA, San Francisco, and San Diego. But aside from my business, my ultimate goal is to become a full time illustrator, or conceptual artist for a developing studio. Its always been a dream of mine. So hit me up and tell me your thoughts or advice. I'm always trying to improve myself and connect with you as well.

Its been one tough road but through friends, family, and by the grace of God I can finally see my works hanging up on a wall and not imprisoned on my computer monitor. Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement. I would have never made it this far without you all. Cheers.
I'm liking most of your illustrations, BUT I actually wish that you would leave some of the detail out of peoples teeth. For some reason the detail there makes your images kind of creepy and unflattering.
I too enjoy your business card! Looks like something precious and collectible. Would be the kind of thing I would collect if there were different variant of these.
I find your line work very efficient, but your painting seems weaker and not really working together. I feel like the brush work could be more simple and right than it is. For now it kind of takes the strength of the line off instead of adding to it, which is sad. Cause the line is really working on its own.
Congrats on having your works printed, it always feel special to see them as real objects. : )
Thanks a ton for your critique Smirt. I have a lot of room for improvement especially with my brush strokes. I tend to overwork my paintings and loose that nice looseness to my drawings. However I would love to hear more suggestions on how I can improve my work. One difficult thing I've been struggling with lately is loosing confidence once I paint over my Lines. Does anyone else have this problem? Really love your work by the way. "They Won" is crazy!
