IDW # 153 : Salvage (Space)Ship
Topic: Salvage (Space)Ship
The Stratar2983 was the main workhorse of the InterGalaxial Salvage Union. Small and powerful, it could carry back to home base chunks of almost anything non-radioactive; anything from fighter skirmish rubble to bits of metal-rich asteroids. The small main body housed the crew, pilots and engineers and provided sanitary and sleeping quarters in addition to the flight deck, while the salvage pens, well, held salvage and varied in size. Unfortuately, these ships are going out of the workforce as they get more and more unfixable dents and mechanical breakdowns. A proper replacement has yet to be produced.

I always thought the way these challenges gave you the chance to choose how the product or design finds a way to do stuff yourself is pretty cool. Maybe instead of doing the draw the shiniest thing you can give a task and show how to deal with a problem instead? I think it might draw some more people into it. Usually i don't upload stuff i do from this, but I'm not doing this because its too tight.

JellevdVegt: Thanks for the catch. Now fixed.
Arfan: I'm not sure I'm completely getting all of what you're saying so hang on as I try and sort it out. Are you suggesting that perhaps proposing a probelm that requires a ID solution rather than a breif of specs or storyline? I really like that and I hadn't thougt of that! And am I correct when I say you aren't participating in this round because it's a bit too limiting? Either way, thank you very much for the feedback.
Benza: Some strong sketches going on!

I like your design Malaveldt, it has a sort of cool grasshopper/insect quality to it. The perspective looks a little off to me tho in places, you might want to look at that. Benza, like your sketches too, some very nice shapes there!
