Wow ! I'm with Lt Plissken on the body on the beach, thats very good my mate.
I do love a visit here its so refreshing not to look at badly drawn troll space pirates fighting she elf dragon riders with tentacle legs or some such balderdash! I love an imagination at play thanks man, please keep posting.
Colin: if youre ever in cambridge, hit me up, theres some superb pubs round here; crick and watson announced the spiral nature of DNA in the Eagle which is a top notch boozer.
Lightship thank you very much sir! People do that kind of stuff so well already theres not much I can add really. I totally understand why it exists; games are sold to young guys who love that kind of thing, but Im not after a job in games particulalry so Im free to do whatever I like! I will try to keep it intresting and fun!
Max thanks man! i really liked your drawings, theres something in a lot of them that caught my eye, some strangeness, which im definitely digging. nice
Placeboast; right back at you sir, your work is amazing!!
Mr C: youre right of course. Me and the 'bert chat a lot on skype but that one slipped my mind, too much ganja in the day rotted my brain hehe.. for really cool examples of that kind of smudge brush image check out Min Yum (Bumskee) and Yor, those guys are incredible.
heres a paintover of my friend Xberts art, and something i did ages ago but could never get to work, more colour doodle and a paintover of awesome artist dennis bjork (Dile_)
still having trouble with the walker one, .. any suggestions or paintovers weclome!
plus some way old cars from ages ago, if anyone wants to play with them please go ahead..

wicked stuff as usual your unique style really pops above the rest.
Thanks for the youtube videos I spent few hours doing nothing but watching weird youtube vids... LOL
The weird sound in Kiev was a winner though.
Smells good in here keep cookin'
thanks a lot guys for following and commenting on things! means a lot
Jellevdvegt: ive only heard of him quite recenlty but im becoming totally obsesed! my things are childish by comparison but i love how he works, what he comes up with and how hes only limited by his imagination.
im starting to enjoy scrawling things from imagination a lot though.
first one is CHoW#263 :: Zombie-killing dinosaur-riding cowboy-alien and second is E.O.W Round #173: Guerilla Nest in the Jungle

man your getting better really fast the best thing is you know the two main things already - how to use colours and how to create an atmosphere the rest is just plain craftsmanship and can be learned quite fast but these two things are the hardest thing to achieve, good for you that you are already really good at this ^^
thanks guys! Party thats a big confidence boost man, as you know youre work is a big inspiration. the reason for all these child-scrawl paintings is im 29 now and feel i have to work my arse off to catch up on the 10 years i spent partying and dossing around... so your comments gave me a big boost

Oh yeah, I totally agree with Partisan. They're not child-scrawl at all! I mean geez, look at your other stuff, you've already got all the basic stuff down that everyone else is fighting with—value, composition, perspective, lighting . . . etc, etc, etc. Now you've just got to figure out how to use a few new tools. And you haven't really spent all that much time on these paintings have you? Try spending 40 hours on something and then judge if it's child-scrawl or not. I think anyone who's really really good spends a ton of time on their stuff. All the people I've found who bang out stuff super-duper fast are just doing the same darn cliché over and over again.
To sum up: No worries. Your paintings are already very cool and they will be amazing pretty darn soon.
[Edit] Holy cow! Thanks for posting that Alan Moore video. That probably just changed my life. (that is, hopefully)

"And you haven't really spent all that much time on these paintings have you? Try spending 40 hours on something"
youre totally right, I never spend more than 4 or 5 hours on anything. Im thinking about a megaproject to address this.
"Holy cow! Thanks for posting that Alan Moore video."
good bloke isnt he. he takes his duties as a shaman seriously. i like how he's part brummy garth merenghi, part awesome genius. love him.
heres more on that CHOW and some house pics from today. i dont design these houses and sometimes wont let me change them to make them seem less like they were designed with a dice. this is one of those. on the plus side its a reasonably fun way to earn some cash and not have to think too hard
