ahh damnit, ionics sketchbook inspired me to work further on this after all. no promises though!
edit: retracting this thing until i find a better pose etc. too nondescriptive at the moment.

Ok... so I started over again as that one sucked a lot... Even deleted my post.
This one sucks as well, but is better. Can anyone help me with crits?

I'm thinking I should advance a little more before post it, right? Anyway it's here.

Edit: Ohh... c'mon. I know I won't be able to continue.
See you next time, guys... even if just for comments.
    'Till there.

I kept imagining the wind finders at sea from Wheel of Time for some reason when I was painting this haha. I used nudity but she is by no means beautiful.

Should have tried one of these challenges earlier, I don`t keep my hopes too high but working on it and checking everyone`s take is already pretty fun

    Keep it going guys

    Hi all!
I'll try the Scythian approach depicting the Amazon queen as a Scythian female warrior.
Here are my two first WIPs.

it occured to me it would be more dramatic if she was riding the bull, kind of like a statement..... "i can break bulls, mere men are nothing in comparison" sort of thing.

LOL Troglodyte - tough as in disgusting misandric harridans - i think the boys would be lucky to go with their dads having mothers like that!!

I just thought that the outset of the brief made them sound a little more tame than most of what i've read about them...

I was going for a more "savage" look as well as one that would convey her protectiveness of her people. (:

This is my first CHOW, so hope I'm doing this right...

reginanegra: Her expression is quite mild for the situation. Is that intentional?

    Wee bit o' progress.

Parsakoira: That is beautiful. I love the muscle tone in her body and the lighting is beautiful, very dramatic.

Hey Parsakoira. How do you add the colors after values are defined (if it's ok to tell ^_^)?
    It looks awesome.

Pose numero 2. Stuck with more of a slender figure, but less of an anime pin-up pose.

Hey everybody! Keep up the good stuff!
After reading 1.5 hours about amazones and their history , I thought I knew enough about them to compete here.
But after 1.5 - 2 hours of drawing this, I knew: I really should not read about amazones, I should draw hands and heads instead!!

Dashinvaine: Good work, i`m diggin it. But for someone in the middle of a battlefield with dust, ash, sweat and blood flying around she seems remarkably clean.

Loving the colors Parsakoira, looks very lively. Pretty nice progress.

Haven`t done much progress tonight. I`m moving at turtle pace.
Dudes she beats the shit off in mosh pits or outdrinks with Jack Daniels she takes away and sodomize them.

I'm loving your entry, Parsakoira. It's been awesome seeing your progress.

Here's another WIP. Almost done rendering her. Just some detailing to be done and then I move on to the tiger.

Well dang pasakoira, that is just awesome. I wish I had added more narrative like yours. Next time I will have to keep that in mind. I was just going for a luis royo vibe and his chicks are often just chillin with no narrative lol.

    Mine so far...
