Thumbs up Books by Ernest Watson and Ted Kautzky

    Hi all,

I wonder if anyone here owns a copy of Ernest Watson's "Art of Pencil Drawing" and Theodore Kautzky'S "The Ted Kautzky Pencil Book". I'm trying hard to get these 2 books. Amazon.com and the sellers doesn't ship it to Singapore.

    Thanks!

Thanks DPaint! I read your post too late! Managed to find and purchased Watson's "The Art of Pencil Drawing" from an architecture online bookstore website last evening.

For the Kautzky's book, I found a couple on Bookfinder.com but their prices are insane. I will hold that off for now.
If anyone could gimme a soft copy of that, kudos! LOL

The reason why I'm seeking these 2 books is cos' in another book ("Drawing with your artist's brain" by Carl Purcell), Carl mentions about the broadstroke rendering technique and how Watson and Kautzky are masters of it. This broadstroke seems especially fast and efficient at rendering landscapes and trees / landscapes rendered using this style looks very painterly and alive, and forces you not to be fussy.

    Good day!
