here we go again. I started to work on the 1st of september, working 8h/day, so I have less time for sketching, but I use the time I find.
here's one of the worst pages I did

    - decided to do 90% anatomy studies after that..
    so: from ref.

    free poses.

and a selfportrait before I fell asleep:

sketches from sketchgroup, pretty fucked up.

so crit my shit, guys, please.

well, I just dont have enough time to do my thing. anyways I try hard. and I hope I'm having some progress.. whatever.
I did a lot of selfportraits in the last days, cause mostly when I've got time I dont have a lot, so I do quick sps..

I was in berlin the other day to visit the Moma exhibition and had to wait for 8 hours just to get inside.. w00t! but I had my gf with me, and of course my sketchbook. so I drew my gf and other things, as well as a rembrandt studie, cause we got a flyer with a rembrandt selfportrait on it.

please, guys, tell me what you think bout it.

prostate sunrise - thanks for your advice and thanks for stopping by.

As prostate suggested, I did more life studies, which means self portraits.

and a non life page, but ref for the girl.

and finally, this is my submission for the ca. shirt contest:

and how I imagined it to be on the shirt:

hope some of you guys like it.

Hi Jeff (though i know it's not your real name, ha!)

I know you are looking for some advice or crits and i think it partially pisses you off that you didn't get many replies yet, but i tell you, you are on your way and it won't take long until you get much more replies...

I think you have a good rendering skill with pencils, but you should take some time to measure during the sketching phase...i can see on your drawings that you get very interesting results when your proportions are right, but destroy a lot if you don't take time to sketch, measure, check the proportions before starting with the shading...

    Anyway...hit in!...er...hau rein!

fozzy - hey, what's up? thanks for your good advice, I noticed myself not taking enough time for measuring, but I wanna eliminate that by doing a lot without erasing or even without lifting the pencil. I think one gets a better feeling for lineweight and stuff on the one hand and on the other hand one is forced to look twice or more to measure correctly before putting down the line. thanks again, I'll try to think of that.

flex - thanks, man. I greatly appreciate that you voted for my design - cool that you like it. your sketches are killer man, thanks for stopping by.

I'm in a hurry today, only got to scan a page from last night, drew my girl from life, something like 15 mins.

Jeff, I'd love to see you rendering the hair in the same diligent manner as the faces... otherwise: very nice progress!

    hey there!

some really nice stuff in here and you're making great progress. wish I could render faces that good. keep pushing your life studies! can't wait to see more. I especially like those dolls and the nude renderings.
(I know I should do more anatomy and life studies myself but I revert to nonsense scribbles and cartoony stuff ever so often).

    still wip

hey guys, this is a piece, which I've been working on for some time now, and I'd like to show you some stages of my developement. you already know the sketch, and that's how I worked from that point on.. I used ref for the head of the babie and for the knife. rest is from my mind.
Sorry for the bad quality pics, but the piece is too big for my scanner, might scan it in parts when it's done.

    and two detail shots:

I hope you guys can give me some crits on that one. what can be improved?
gimme your thoughts please, I would aprreciate.

    Jj.

You need to do more anatomy...and check your values....wait...did I just say that?
