The Following User Says Thank You to Pixie Trick For This Useful Post:
i was so caught up in trying to make the design coherent with actual laws of the universe and the description that i was stressing myself out
...then i realized that i was only mean to design its appearance not actually make it.
May not get the chance to finish it though.

i like the brief, and i love both designs posted! especially steve pete. now make a perspective drawing
Looks like I was thinking along the same lines as Sniper, here's my WIP
i also had the same idea
wings are organic (made by technology that has yet to be developed)
Nice, I think I'll switch mine up though... I can just picture the thought process
'Ornithopter...hmm, everyone's gonna do a bat...I know, Dragonfly!'
At least that's how it went in my head
gunna join next weeks edition!!
Thought I'd give this one a go with a scarab-inspired design.
Here's my new Ornithopter, don't know that it's any better than the dragonfly... but it's different.
Back view of the scarab. I feel a lot more satisfied with this version of the wings, now, compared to the wings of my first sketch.
Edit: Realized the wings should show over the back.
