@ Teapo .. im so happy with ur comment.. thanks alot .. i think when i finally get my wacom tablet ..my digital work will be doubled or tripled then it is now.. but i do enjoy the feel of a pencil or a brush in my hand .. so i wont stop doing traditonaly as well .. and i hope that im going somewhere.. my ultimate goal... going to Ubisoft.. and kick the butt of whoever doing the heroes of might and magic series..!! cant they just make heroes 3 in better graphics?!!?
lol.. what an ultimate goal ha?!

@ Liberty ... thank u .. im glade you liked my SB ... as for the patience thing.. when u first start u have NONE.. but as u draw and draw.. it start to build up..and u reach a conclusion which is .. the more time u give.. the better ur drawing will be.. when u see a good painting or drawing.. be sure there is more then one hour put into it.. like some portrait took 12 hours stright.. or painting that took more then a week.. so with time u will start to enjoy spending time doing it .. slowly and beauitfuly

as for the genius and wacom.. well if ur comparing normal genius tablet with wacom cintiq there is no comparison coz wacom cintiq is a screen and live drawing.. not like genius... but even if ur comparing the quality of drawing between genius and wacom intous or bamboo.. wacom is much better.. the genius i have is full of bugs and u can do much with it.. but its cheaper.. i got it for 100$ where wacom cintiq is 2300 + .. u can go to amazon to genius page and see the review of it .. and comapre it to the wacom page..

in short..wacom is better quality.. easier to use..

now i hate to post just replay.. i need to post some work too
here its is ... a 3d project in Qatar... huge towers...

Thanks so much for feedback, 12 hours is unreal at my stage. I thought patience comes primarily from mind set or something similar.

And that 3D comes from loads of hours i can tell.

    Take care m8.

@ Liberty .. i thought patience is a mind game or something like that..or some ppl has it some ppl dont.. but belive me i had ZERO patience when i started.. specially when i see that my drawings sucks no matter what i do..but as u draw and draw and draw and finally beat ur own mind in this game.. u will not only have looots of patience.. but u will even enjoy it.. for looooong loooong hours... the last 3D i spent 16 stright hours working on it.. with a big smile on my face... same for the horse painting

Looks like you've come along way since the first page! You're building up some nice skills here.
I like that ghost in the shell piece you did, crazy idea to do it in oils!.

Hey, glad you update so fast.

Grass is kinda flat, like no love was put in it

I like the atmosphere at 1st pic. So calm.

@ Just Call Me Bruce! : thank you .. it is crazy to do manga in oil.. not to mention it takes 3 days to do one pic.. insted of one hour in digital.. but i enjoyed it.. i wonder if anyone in this world did an oil manga exhbition.. would i be the first one in history ?

@ Liberty .. im with you there is no love in these paintings but for good resone.. i always take my time in doing any painting ..more then 30 40 hours... so i thought i need to be free .. to just move my hand.. so i set the timer to one hour for each painting.. in the mountines picture i took 50 min doing the mountines..so i needed to finish everything else in 10 min!! thats why it looked like that ... its just a sketch on A4 paper ..

but as for now.. here is my painting No. 6 .. an oriental painting ... starting with the pencil work...

im still not that sure of what should an underpainting be.. should it be detailed .. or just flow around... should it be just burnt umber or monocromatic .. or with colors!! or even without underpainting.. i did them all i cant seem to find the difference!!

    anyway..this is the oriental underpainting...

    Hey, great work recently!
I notice you use vray for your 3d stuff. I have 3ds max, but I gotta ask:how much did vray cost you? I'd like to get it but its so ridiculously expensive...

Hi Rain! I love your pencil works and oil paintints! They are so detailed and beautiful. I would love to see more of them. Your portraits are already looking better and better. And I love the painting of the horse. Keep them coming!

The Motoko painting is really awesome, looks like you need to work on your subd meshflow with that mech tho, tweak some tri's n stuff, alot of your normals are looking splodgy, like the metals melted abit.

keep up the good work tho

@ Leroy : u can be everything u want.. u got the talent for sure

@ Satupeikko : thanks so much for ur comment .. i will post some new stuff when i finish them.. i kinda started like 3 oil painting at once..
im almost done with one that im gonna post tommorw..

@ ^_^ : im glade u liked the 3d model.. but i got to be honest with u .. the splodgyness and the melted metal look isnt from the 3d .. its from the photoshop layer on top.. i kinda wanted the reflected look but i kinda messed it up ... love ur work by the way

@ Parya : im a big fan of ur paintings .. some lovely stuff u have there... and the patient to do 2 A2 pages while being in a cafe. is amazing.. i cant do that .. well one reason is if ppl saw im looking at them and drawing them will get me in troubles here.. (in my country i mean) coz its kinda weird looking at ppl.. i think its a complement where u r to draw ppl.. well.. no here sadly .. but even so.. ur life drawings.. amazing.. honestly

well as for now... some final steps for the oriental painting... couple of hours more .. and i will upload the final painting.. its taking SOOOOOOO long.. its painful.. so far more then 60 hours!!!

and 2 pics i took with my digital cam saturday (yesterday) for the amazing "perigee moon" that happen every 18 years!!! the moon looks 15% bigger and 38% shinyer... it looked sooo weird...

I like that last scene.. the horse in particular. That style reminds me of the old Fred Pfeiffer novel covers (yes I'm old).

Sorry to double post but I just read what you said about being a perfectionist. I don't get many people's attitudes towards the SB side of CA.. it's a sketchbook.. most people look at it as a place to show off and don't want to show any signs that they are imperfect.. which to me is a huge joke. You're a talented artist but I think that attitude is pretty elitist..

@ 4tonmantis : mate u got me wrong it isnt that i want to show off and put just my best work here.. i would loved if i posted like a journal from my first sketch to the last one .. but i didnt keep my 2500 sketches.. i throw them in the bin! whenever i do a sketch that isnt good enough for ME .. i throw it out.. i dnt keep it.. its a problem in me not that im looking to be an elitist.. its a problem of being my own worst critic!

and thats why i said i never did imagination sketch before.. coz every time i do it .. i get mad and throw it out coz it isnt good enough for MY sadistic ego!!
