    Good, good, good.
Don't worry about being without digital for now.
There is a lot to do with pencils and traditionals. If I noticed
right, you proportions got better. But I do feel that you are
rushing your studies. Maybe I am wrong. For a test, try
to spend longer time on each drawing. For example, if you
normally do a guy from life for 15 minutes, try to double the
time, and draw him 30 minutes. Just compare the difference
in the end results. It's just an experiment. Nice to see
perspective training among the other ones. Keep going.

Hi, you've done imrovment since page1, like Ltplissken said your proportions has become better. what I think you need to do is control you lines a little bit more cuz right now they seem very messy, That's all for me.

Keep up the good work and stay bacon.

nice work man, the latest studies are looking really good. a solid improvement over the others. have you taken any life drawing classes? they help a lot when it comes to human construction, and will improve your memory for building humans from imagination. you should check it out if there is some classes in your area! but your heading in the right direction dude, keep at it!!

NickyBeats: Yeah, I took a 4 week life-drawing class for a summer pre-college program I attended a couple of years ago. But after that I've just been studying on my own.

    LtPlissken: thanks for the encouragement!

More sketches, studies, and rendering practice. I have also taken the liberty of creating a facebook page, so if any of you want to see some slightly different things from me feel free to like it: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Daniel...96453880430213

good improvement, one thing i make a mistake with is uglifying my faces, because i add to many lines,
when it comes to shading the face dont hard edge shades try smudges on the shadow parts.
keep doing anatomy and gesture studies its really showing in you drawings that you are picking it up fast.

Hey, mate. Like others have said, there's a steady improvement going on since you've started this sketchbook, I'd say in faces in particular. The studies are looking good, especially in the ones where you've taken extra time to shade the faces carefully. Keep it up

    great sketchbook
lots of works and I agree with the others, you improved allot
I love the last portrait the one that is fully rendered
I think you should do this kind of sketching more often, not just line works, even if it takes much longer, it would be best in the long run
do lots of quick studies but also stay like ten hours on a single sketch and make it the best you can

Thanks for checking out my sketchbook!
I was looking through yours, and I see a lot of improvement, especially in the faces. However, one problem that persists is that when you draw them from imagination the nose is too long and therefore the face is too long. Generally, the eyes should be positioned in the center of the head.

Just something for you to think about Keep it up!

Hey thanks for the crit, I will work more on my proportions!
Try to keep your vanishing points in perspective setups further apart, the closer they are the easier it is for objects to get distorted. Try to do some more personal finished pieces, you've fallen into a rut of 'study study study' and you're not really applying what you learn. I've been there, it's a really slow way to improve.
    Work hard, good luck!

Good Loomis studies! Keep at those, most of your heads from imagination are kind of distorted, though you're definitely improving! You're flattening out the front of the face, and making them too narrow from the side and 3/4 views, making them look kind of squished. =)

Keep up the studies on Bridgemen and Loomis the pay out in dividends. I notice some of your drawings are a bit blurry. Sometimes spraying some of the pages lightly with spray fix will help prevent some smugging later on. Just a suggestion.

Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!
