You have some really good stuff here mate. I'm not a graphic designer, but to me colors, lines, shapes and relations to the content. Bleak and insania is my favorites.

I seriously hate that insania label. I would not use it in your portfolio as soon as you have some other product design stuff to replace it imho.

Thanks for the input. It's a sophomore work, so I intend to replace everything as soon as possible. But what about it do you hate? Because, honestly, it's still one of my favorites and apparently one of Geir's.

The insania labels are a little over rendered and lack a clear graphic focus. Not enough contrast IMO.

Thanks for posting your student exercises. Very interesting.

Yep. Too busy, no focus, too many fonts, too many textures.

You could clean up the design by having a stark contrast. By making the front emblem sharp and simple and keeping the grungy background, be it by simplifying the logotype or sharpening the emblem in the front.

Ok -I see. Yea I can agree with that. It is important to keep focus. But how ever, in this label I think the lack of such underline what I see as the meaning of "Insania" (ok, maybe this is me being to Norwegian; read non-english), ie "caos of hot sauce". I would defenatly reacognize this in the shops. Focus and simplicity is important. And to keep it clean. But sometimes the opposite can get the messege across also... which I think it does in this case.
