Hello! I am 21 and the work I see coming from people who are 21 here are really, really good. I will work to be one of them. If you come in here post a crit! I love them!!. I am not a master so all advice is appreciated. I will post every week so I will be able to see my progress over the rest of my life or as long as this website is up. I suck at digital somewhat so I will mostly work in graphite pen and marker with little sprinkles of digital.
You are invited to rummage through the old stuff but if you want to get the the fresh art, click here!

Simple hand study.
Hello thread. Still 21 and have improved on my perspective thanks to school. It is funny how hurdles in life can keep you stuck in one place isn't it? Let's try again.
The only thing left is to figure out how to properly post images that are NOT the size of the universe on this website.
Hey man, i am also your age. i understand what u mean.
just remember that small 'milestones' is the only way to achieve what u want,
you put the work in everday, its impossible not to improve. and u will have your 100 pages.
and it will be the best feeling in the world.
i wish u luck
- for a crit, just try and look at the shapes you are putting down. when doing studies, look for the simplest way to draw it, how the small shapes make the whole. hope this helps lol.
How in the WORLD did i miss this post!!?? Sorry dude. Thank you for the encouragement. It can get hard sometimes right after I just came off this kids blog who was 17 and already interned at Disney. His stuff is crazy, but that's the thing I keep doing. Comparing. It was last night I realised that "awesomeness" isn't just going to find me, sadly, all of that stuff comes work.
Thanks again and I hope to be reading this at 100 pages.
Test two. Uploading one by one is Annoying. Photoshop will save me.
Dude you are so awesome right now I can't even tell you. *tear* I won't fail you or me!
That was terrible english, who cares!
My apologies to what could have been. I will make up the time pay for my sins!!
I just can't believe someone posted after almost a year. that really motevated me. Look forward to more things.
Thank you for kicking my ass. It was getting dusty.
A study of the left shoulder blade. It's 12:30AM bed or draw?
It's Saturday, i'm young, I can handle it, right? Recent study says good rest now will help you have better memory when you are old. When I am old I will be drawing! No need for memory!
Here we have the Autocad 2009 building (I did for extra credit) and a loos drawing of a human skeleton, which I have not drawn in over half a year.
So interesting how after 6 months of drawing boxes in perspective my anatomy goes to shizz. Note difference.Drawing the first organic shape tonight felt so wierd and my hand was so wobbly. *shiver* I think I have learned enough perspective for now at least
I only had 40 mins to draw and the first one (the really bad one) I think was not very good because I just came in after running to the school from my apartment and still panting, not focused. That took 30 minutes.
The second one was after I had warmed up from the first and done in 10 minutes. I prefer the second. Everyone else in the class was Ridiculous!! I know, I know, they are years above but WOW the charcoals looked REALLY GOOD.
See you all next time.
Two more drawings on the way as an apology for no drawings yesterday! Done on 18x24 paper I think. Heading to school to get them scanned because I am pretty darn proud of how they came out.
I don't know why, maybe because we have been drawing boxes for six weeks in class but when my teacher brought a box full of bones and told us to draw that. (thank you LORD!) I went crazy! They took about 15 minutes each and interestingly enough the teacher said the first was wrong and needed to be mapped out in planes so my desk-mate (Copyrighted) flipped it over and we started again.
I NEED more times like this in class. MORE organic shapes! This weekend wa SUCH a waste because I said to myself that if I drew ONE MORE box I was gonna flip my apt upside down!
Yet when I dig through deviant art concept drawing it's the mechanical and architecture stuff that turns me on (my head is full of...). Anyway that's the update for tonight. See you tmrw!
You may be sick of the perspective studies, but I really dig the first drawing in post #15. Nice job on the bone drawings too.
Hey everyone! The first you see is a quick drawing of the side profile of a vehicle in class. The teacher brought some toys and we drew them in profile (kinda cool).
The second one is a picture talking about the blocks of the human body (I am currently working through Bridgman's guide to drawing life, a very cool book).
Third is some re-drawings of my favourite director Miyazaki. I went through his sketches and just drew over his stuff (is this bad/illegal? Am I learning anything?)
Fourth, still life.
Last, A space ship from last semester. THIS is what I want to be doing now but nooo~ the teacher probably thinks the class cant handle it because we have some people in the class who are new to drawing. YET that are in the SECOND module!? How!?
Anything else I can do to learn more/faster? Any CHALLENGES ( I FREAKING LOVE CHALLENGES) that anyone wants to issue out to me? Post them up!!
Also I am shy as woah so if there is a place I could hang out or any threads that you like to frequent tell me so I can...you know... say "Hi." and stuuuffff.
Hi! Don't buy shy dude! I'm kinda new here too, but I kinda just jump in to whatever is going on here. Members here are pretty friendly so don't worry about getting ignored or flamed or something like that :3.
I like your style and that's really cool that came to the states to hone your skills. I am also a Jamaican native who lives in the states. It's very rare to meet another artist from Jamaica here in the U.S.! Anyway, keep up the good work ^^!
Hey you copied my master pick
