I don't know the circumstances, but before jumping the gun and making accusations, did you contact Jason to see what happened?
Sometimes threads get soft deleted by accident actually ifa person accidentally checks off a box and deletes threads. I had almost accidentally banned someone when I didn't realize I checked off one of their posts when I had jumped to several threads deleting posts as spam.
I've also known Jason to do "insomnia modding" where he comes on late night and actually deletes posts he didn't mean to. When it happens he apologizes - it's like drunk modding.
While again I don't know what happened I just wanted to say that making an accusation like that may make things worse. Would you like it if someone did the same to you?

I did contact him, he read the PM and didn't reply, like he started doing after the TAD stuff happened. The thing is, I had already stopped posting in the thread, said that'd I'd left because I disagree with things here and that I prefer other sites. He could've just deleted that single post.
I doubt this was an accident because the thread wasn't floating at the top at all.

Someone sent me a note saying that it had been deleted, and I just happened to care about this thread since it held my whole progression from bloody beginner up until now. Is that really so weird? Also, we're talking about the most viewed thread ever on CA.

i dont know bro, manley just brought thousands of artists together and like the only reason he's doing TAD is too help everybody, he obviously felt you deserved a scholarship so you should feel more honoured than a trophy, if i was you i would have took it and got the most out of it as i could, at least gave it a try.. nonetheless a guy who made a concept art website, who helped you get to the standard that you are now, whos helped thousands of people improve wouldn't, in my opinion, delete your thread intentionally

I actually been going through your thread for the last 4/5 weeks (again) or so, just reading a few pages every time to get me fired up for my own drawing sessions at midnight. That sketchbook has been the single biggest inspiration on this site for me, so I was wondering what that was about also.
Nice to hear you work for Marko now. Hope to see the thread go up again soon.

Wow he got kicked out? wow.
I'll be posting here as long as I'll be able to. Any exposure is good. I post everywhere.
I find it really sad that your thread got deleted though. That thread was so damn awesome..
edit: I can see it too. weird.

It really does feel like the air is different here. It's not a place for people to grow anymore really, it's more about advertising one thing or the other.
But I guess when you've gotten attached to this site, it's difficult to hear criticism. I used to lurk here alot, but now there's really nothing to come here for.
This site is a shadow of what it once was indeed.
