Also wanted to post some 3d work and show how that goblin ended up. The thing with the skulls was a weapon for a darksiders2 contest, it was for the "crow temple" set of weapons.

Just some studies.. Next is to try and apply it all this week, I really don't want to be all studies and no action.

    - First study is a desaturated copy of maniaks bloodthrone vampire. I can't seem to post the URL properly?? Check him out on cghub!

    maniaks (dot) cghub (dot) com

    - I also did some life-painting for the first time, and it was hard.. though I'm going to go regularly now and get on top of it.

    -And some random stuff

I think I'll try to be more speedy on the next one and simplify with bigger chunks of value..

Trying out an environment. All my stuff has way too soft/narrow of a value range.. got to make it punchier.

Some great studies in here, #32 post's first work is great. I think last digital life paintings need more colors and detail. Keep it up...

I really like your figure studies. The gestures on them are really fluid. Also, always a fan of 3d work. Keep goin!

Pundt - Thanks! That reminds me, I haven't practiced gestures in a while..

Here's a couple off the top of my head, and the start of something I might take further.

Badass work! how about some more stuff from fantasy inbetween all those studies? They are very good but I like the stuff you came up with.

Please, excuse me for the possible errors in my English.

Hey one thing I'm noticing is, especially in your personal work, is that you aren't pushing your values far enough. You did that study of maniaks vampire, notice how he used the values. The majority of the piece falls on the darker side of the spectrum, with the lighter areas, or the contrast-y areas are used to focus the eye. Anyway, you're doing a lot of good studies so keep that up.

Steeliebob - I hear that! I'm trying to do more original work instead of just studies all the time!

Psychobuddy - Thank you sir, very good point! My eye for values is pretty bad still, I will keep trying to push it!

Some lifedrawing.. Long pose for painting, and some 5min gestures from the end of the session. Haven't done gestures in a while and getting back to a regular schedule.

Man, I really enjoyed browsing these two pages of your thread. You seem to have a good grasp on the figure. Also that 3D goblin you been working is looking great! Your 3D stuff is really coming along. Keep at it. Nice work
