Naval Ships of the FUTURE...FUture...futur..fu (updated 4-01-04)

    If I designed ships...

    Here is a cruiser...

And now as a Pirate Ship...

...same design as a Command Post...or possibly a casino...

Here is my idea of a super-carrier...complete with bombers and an escort ship packing some serious heat...

Let me know what you guys think...

The first one seems a little wierd. Maybe work on the coloring of it, working on getting the textures and highlights and such down. The last one is fantastic. Nice job.

Star Wars, Return of the Jedi.

Jabba the Hutt's ship. Except that's not the future, that's "a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away."

Wow, these are really neat. I like your pen and ink renderings, and especially the clouds in the last one. Do you have more to show off? And maybe different views?

I have a drawing of a different ship, but I won't be anywhere I can post it until this evening....I'll put it up then.

I am also drawing a demon and I'll put that up(probably on another thread). I can't decide on a background for it.

note: I removed the colored ship at the beginning.

Here is a different ship and angle. There is also my version of an ekranoplan in the foreground. (keep in mind that it is REALLY choppy on the forum...it looks much smoother on paper and in my computer...)

Naval Ships of the FUTURE...FUture...futur..fu (updated 4-01-04)

FYI: Ekranoplan is a ground effects plane designed and produced by the russian gov. Imagine an 500 ton aircraft flying at 500 miles per hour at 20 feet above the water cruising across a sea carrying 600 troops and all theri gear and supplies. The russian gov. was trying it out in the 60's...here's the technical info on them...and some cgi renderings of a few of them(I couldn't find good pictures)

See what you think...let me know...
