So what do you want for chrismas?

Tell me your desires, heh , what do you want for chrismas? I have a feeling this is going to be interesting. Personally I'm hoping for a couple of art books, namely sparths structura, Volume 1 of MB's art... Anyway whats on your wishlist?

Here's my present to you, a bit of vintage australiana

Ahh, such a rich culture we have.

But to answer you question; i don't really want anything. It's like they say, you can only truly enjoy that which you have earned.

To turn on the TV and not see a bit of tinsel, red, green or reference to Christmas for the whole day. That would be bliss.

And maybe some shops to be open and people walking and driving outside so it doesn't feel like some sort of zombie apocalypse, sat there watching morale-boosting television, eating stockpiled food with the outside world dead silent. I don't like Christmas.

I just want not to get Christmas themed stuff for my birthday and lots of good food on christmas. Presents as a tradition and obligation died out in my family some years ago. Actually I'm more looking forward to the school holidays in general and then new years bash.

I still need to go buy my ticket for Rhapsody of fire in concert, which is december 9.
Haters gonna hate, but it is one of my favorite bands ever.

Other than that i dont want much, anything else i could mention is stuff i need anyways. Mainly i just want to not be lacking on anything and to get some peace.

    And hookers.

A wool Keffiyeh or Shemagh to keep my head and face out of the wind. Neutral colors, don't want to offend any Palestinians or Israelis. A new pair of boots for work. A fur-lined aviator hat. Work pants. Gun cleaning kit. Seasons 1-3 of Mad Men on dvd. Fallout: New Vegas. None of which I have actually asked for yet. I hate asking for gifts no matter how practical.

    nothing.

Seriously, I'm not that much into getting gifts unless I get them, without knowing, from one of my friends. Those carry meaning, so they matter.

I've ordered for myself Structura, Steambot Studios' Exodyssey, the Art of District 9 (i really want the Exo Suit statue as well, but it's far too expensive for what it is), a couple of Armored Core model kits [1][2], and a COWON S9 with Sennheiser IE8 Headphones. Bought it all myself with money i earned. The most exciting thing is, nothing has arrived yet!

Rhapsody of Fire are great, even though people sometimes laugh and take the micky.

What do I want for Christmas?

A new computer that I can actually do digital work on without having it melt down every five minutes.

A used Intuos. My Bamboo's mouse no longer works right.

Fresh steel with proper tools so I can start putting together my modified Lee-Enfield action.

    Ten pounds of candle wax.

Roughly two hundred dollars worth of .45 ACP and .30-06 casings and primers.

    Amateur Artist. Professional Asshole.

    Lookit the Pretty!

Rule #1 of depicting soldiers: KEEP THE DAMN FINGER OFF THE DAMN TRIGGER.

Paul Atreides’s original Stillsuit from the 1984 Dune. I've missed it twice at auction now but I still want it. It would go in a massive fuckoff glass case that would stand next to me whilst I worked. Not much chance for this Christmas, of course, but I'll look out for it.

Anything I want for, in the material way, I can usually get on my own (I'm in the black financially after 6 years of debt) so wanting something isn't really necessary.

I got this recently (sitting on my desk at work:

So what do you want for chrismas?

That I wanted for a long time. Got it at a good price, new.

Whe I get a gift from a friend that I didn't expect (I always get my friends something for the holidays) it means, and this may be me and how I grew up, that I'm not alone in my thoughts (like when I was younger) and than carries greater meaning for me in this world than any want of material items.

Really good digital calipers that displays both imperial and metric dimensions. That's all I want.
