Wink Which MMO games do you play?

If you happen to play any MMO game and care to see if anyone from CA might be playing the game too, state your game and server here.
It might be fun meeting people in the game.

I used to play MMORPG years ago when i worked in a studio, i played Ragnarok, Wow, Final Fantasy XI, Lineage 2, Fly FF.
Now after many years i started to play again and my choice was FFXIV, simply because i enjoyed FFXI most.

If you play FFXIV, let me know per PM.
I play on the Melmond server.

I have a Runescape account, and a C21 account, but I'm not playing much. If someone wants to check out these games, I could dump some items on you and show you around.

The new character editor in EVE online looks fun. I like creating characters in general. I've also got a fond eye towards 'Elite' games (space trading/exploration), but I'm not sure if I actually want to play EVE... I have a hard time putting up with many MMORPG specific features.

I've been playing Eve Online, on and off, for about 4 years now. It's one hell of a complex game. It can get really boring, but its one of those games where you have to make your own fun. If anyone wants to try it out, let me know, i'll send you a bit of money to help you get started (the game is pretty brutal on newbies).

I've been playing Cosmic Break, which is an improved version of C21. The ability to be able to edit the textures themselves is a big, big plus.

I'm also playing Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, but it's heavily dependent on cash shop items and requires a lot of time and effort to be any good at, so I wouldn't recommend it to most people. The pet system is fun though, and there's even a little Compendium you can register demon info in as long as you have the data and the demon.

Final Fantasy is I’m mostly playing these days. It’s simply the best. Its game play and design are superior to the competition and also has a very deep story, something the other games are missing. Play this if you’re looking for a challenging, in depth and satisfying experience, you won’t be disappointed

I've played Ragnarok, FFXIV, Warhammer, Aion, Conan and WoW...
And always ended up coming back to WoW. Been playing since a little after it opened, though on and off with months-long breaks. Always play a game just to have fun!

Right now I'm a troll druid on the MoonGuard server named Yum.

Oh, and i've got a 30 day key for EVE, you can spend it on one of the 15 day trial accounts. So that's a month and a half of free game time. (the game client costs nothing)

    C'mon, who wants it?

I used to play the local version of Ragnarok Online. But the one that I really wanted to play back then was FFXI. Now, however, some of my friends have been egging me to play WoW.

I played the free trials of EVE but I realised how much of a timesink such games are and that that I could get far too sucked into a game like that..

Then I deleted the whole thing.

Seems like a sweet game though, just a bit mad and obsessive for me.

Yeah, after 3 years I rediscovered my old account back. Playing on a new server with better friends though.

Sometimes I can see where that game can get unhealthy, but only when you play for the wrong reasons. Sometimes I just want to throw a mudkip at people who are like "Ewww, if you don't play this raid with me I'll de-friend you" or "Lololz you're quitting WoW? Bad idea". Those people are just like... Ugh.

Now I just play while listening to podcasts and making slapstick jokes over Vent, not taking it seriously whatsoever, the way it should be. Probably not even playing every month.

Anyway, I'm on Detheroc with the same name. Shadow priests ftw.

I have Guild Wars, Aion and WoW installed on this laptop at the moment.

I couldn't really get into Guild Wars but I'm definitley going to buy the second one as it looks like everything I would ever want in an MMO

Aion had alot of potential but the community wasn't there. Enjoyed levelling as far as I did, but apparently it becomes very tedious and after you max level there is only PvP, which would be completley impossible on my shite laptop (10fps on lowest settings! T_T)

WoW will always be my favourite though. Going back when I buy a new PC because I don't want my goblin levelling experience to be less than spectacular. Currently my main is on the Chamber of Aspects server, but I'm going to move him to Bladefist PvP when I join again in a couple months.

Sulphúr is my male troll priests name, and I think I'm going to name my female gobbo lock/shaman Sulphura

I play WoW far too much for my own good. A little dull these days in terms of variety, but by far my favorite MMO.

I played AION for a while and enjoyed the gameplay, but not the grind. I still play anytime they have those "free to play" events. Great game, but not designed with the American market in mind.

I played Champions Online for a while too, I enjoyed the story, the super-hero parody, and the leveling was very not-grindy. However, the game needed a LOT of fine-tuning, pretty buggy and the textures are kinda bland. I considered going back in once they announced they were making it F2P, but after reading up on the limitations, I'm no longer interested.

Looking forward to GW2 and SWOTR.

DDO is F2P, but you have to buy the base game and related expansions, but the free version lacks some features, also made me "MEH".

LOTRO recently went F2P(or is about to), just buy the base game and expansions, made me go "meh" while playing, and I DO like LOTR.

Guild Wars is F2P, and it's sequel GW2 will be as well, probably the best of the F2P MMOs.

Champions Online is about to go F2P, but the "free" version lacks some features, good game.

Of all of these, Guild Wars is probably the only one that isn't going to bother you with endless micro-transactions.

Assuming you don't mind purchasing the disc -

Which MMO games do you play?

Guild Wars was alright too, although I didn't get really into it so I can't give a valid opinion on it as a whole.
When I last played it the playerbase was dying out - its an old game. However, since NCSoft started giving away GW2 rewards in relation to how much you achieve in GW1, I wouldn't be suprised if more people are active nowadays.
