    Sketchy sketching

    Not so many pages yet, but my last few posts are definetly showing progression
    ===============================

    Hey there!

    I've seen lots of amazing sketchbooks over here and the most thrilling were those were you could see some MAJOR changes to peoples abilities.. their growth in skills and just wow.

    Around september I started art school, studying 3D animation. To improve my concept and drawing skills I'm going to commit myself to draw more. Well..enough talk..

    Welcome to CA!

    I love the Mario face! He is beautiful.

    I would recommended doing some life studies, and really focusing on the lights and darks instead of just working with the outline.

    Keep up the good work!

    @snippet:
    Thanks for your comment and I will try to focus more on the lights and darks in the near future. It's just that I'm not really getting the figures right. Currently I would like to focus on getting the pose right and that everything is in proportion. When I'm more confident in that I'll definitely put my best efforts in shading.

    Tomorrow another lesson @ school full with nudes.. yeah!

    And some Loomis book adventures next up.

    Drawing from life! Thats what I like to see. Your going in the right direction, now just keep it, dont stop! haha. Figure and hand studies are looking pretty good...you may have a book by this author already, but if not, I would recommend "Bridgman's complete guide to drawing" by George B. Bridgamn.....its a massive book that sums up all of his previous books! And hes just simply the best. I picked the book up on amazon for 16 bucks, great investment! Good luck!

    "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

    Hey, your last studies are pretty sweet! Diggin the colors and shapes. Keep it up!

    Thanks Rhoades will do

    ---------

    this week I'm not having any time to draw.. That's because next week is our evaluation week at school and a lot of other work has to be finished. So let me present some of that to you

    The first three are about the character and the pose..

    The last one is for an 10 second animation.. it's the basic lay-out of the environment

    *goes back to animating*

    I've been doing some work again today and tomorrow I'll carry on drawing! Personally I really feel like I've improved already, but hey, that's just me

    Posemaniacs was the resource for these, mainly 30 sec and 60 sec drawing You'll probably understand the way it's written down.

    Thanks for reading/watching!

    WOW... stopped drawing for way too long I just realized that my last entry was about a year ago.. WTF DID I DO?

    Not much actually..

    Today on the other hand, I had some spare time in the train I should really watch out.. I'm afraid I might get the hang of this drawing thing...

    a LOOOOOOONG time since I posted here. My interests tend to shift around haha. Lately I picked up drawing again. I'm trying to keep things up, but sometimes drawing itself seems a bit demotivating.
