Heyya Rena! I really like your paintings!
They are UBER cute! You really have a nice style and I like your color choices.
I like that you are working hard on your anatomy studies even though you use a cartoony style.
Many people who have cartoony styles feel that they can just ignore this, but it really helps to know what is normal before you stylize something..
Keep up the good work Rena, I'll be back here!
Also, thanks much for the post on my SB!

Greyskill: thank you you are working hard too
I've decided that I will post here also the shittyest crap (lol) that I will do, starting from now.
I'm doing mainly studies right now, while I'm trying to do my portfolio in pdf and my coverletter so boring!!! It's so boring that for that reason I keep getting distracted, but I need a job and if it is a creative job it would be better.
So here the studies
and incidentally I'm obsessed by this song lately.... it's not the kind of music that iI usually listen, anyway I cant wait to see the movie

Adamsimons Thank you for the comment. I'm feeling really orrible looking at them!! they are terrible!! but I'm tryng to have a positive attitude and thinking that I will learn from my mistakes.
And for the sketchbook vs paper you are right. I need a board then I can sketch and study like a do now on my sofa
I'm busy again..... after these 2 weeks I think I will have more time to upload.... so for now just a small thing

That octopus is funny!
Nice to see you posting the studies your doing. Go old Disney!
Keep up the good work!
P.S. I know it's old and I don't know what you did with it but the back of your business card is in need of some serious alignment! It doesn't have to be aligned all to one side but it looks better if the elements are aligned in some way, like the blog address and the email's m's could be aligned to the right ect. Sorry for all that

Hi again! Great studies and illustrations, I love the little octopus in the glass bowl, aww it's cute! I haven't managed to try Illustration Friday yet because of end-of-year assessments and so on but I hope to get around to it soon!
Insanity is the key!
Also, studies are a key. And passion is a key. Also, so are inspiration, motivation and dedication. Talent can be a key. Insomnia can also be a key, depression is a sad rusty little key. Damn, artists need one hell of a keyring.

3 of my comics were published in Comic Road#10 and I'm working on a Ibook for Pictorical publishing that will contain the stories The Puss in Boots and Cinderella.
the capital letter of Cinderella
bigger capital letter without line
one of the illustrations (it should be smaller on the Ipad)
and here is the illustration for my new promo postcard I heve to say I'm very happy with it I mean I know that somebody else could do it better but I'm please anyway.
My goal for the next onth is add to my portfolio some male character, toddler, old character and more animals (that aren't octopus) some of them anthropomorphized.
So a lot of things to do....
And of course I need desperatly a job becouse I'm starving!I'm jobless for more than 2 month!
That's all for now

My last few days were really crappy because I'm sick, but browsing through your sketchbook made me giggle. You really got a very cute style in your illustrations. Did you think about selling prints in your Etsy shop? I heard some people make money with printing illustrations and greeting cards and stuff like that.
Well, I hope that you find a decent job soon One where you still have the time to draw a lot

I have tried here to draw different breeds of dogs and I've failed, expecially when I've tried to draw a chiwawa It seems everything but a dog.
This is due to the fact that I'm reading 101 dalmatian (a orrible sexist book).

Months have passed from my last post.... so in this post I'm trying to do some catching up.
But before some replies:
@andres333: It's wonderful what you have said to me, I love to make people smile
@Nickels: Thank you very much!
@iven : Thanks you are so kind!
@Naidy: Thanks darling. Here's a new update
these are in September/October
This is a quick entry for Illustration Friday the theme was Disguise, I'm not at all satisfied with the colors, I always have difficulty with green.
I'm happy with this one also because I've tried to do something different with the character's shapes.
Unfortunatly I still haven't a scanner, I can assure you that the original drawing is better than the photo.
I gave this drawing to one of my blog's followers for promoting my work.

The girl with the crystals is looking great so far! Those last three pics of yours are really a step up, in terms of how polished they look. I'm really excited to see how you keep progressing and evolving with this illustration style of yours. Keep up the good work, mate!

@andres333: I've reply on your sketchbook but I would like to tell you again that your works are fantastic!
Lately I'm tryng to speriment with more stylized form for give the characters lines more rhythm.
I' like the trunks color and shape but I don't think that the immage is ballanced at all, I concentrate too much on the character and it end up more a character design that an illustration, this illo dosn't tell a story is a little pointless.

Your style is superb! It is a clearly happy style as thats what strikes me first when looking at your work! Especially love the Groucho Marx-esque chameleon, jst missin that tash and a cigar, and its a cool concept, I see what you did there!
You're work also makes me think you are from France? I have seen a lot of french cartoons and it also hits me as a little french or central european (Europen Artists naturally convey such passion I've noticed), forgive me if I am wrong
Thanks for sharing your works, some of youre studies are not as bad as you think they are! They are awesome too, lets see more!
Keep 'em comin'

@Silent Messiah Thank you for the lovely compliments!
About your question I'm Italian but funny enough a lot of people mistake me for French when I'm traveling ah ah ah!I really admire lots of French artists and also Italian artists that work in France, I take it as a compliment
I'm aware about the problem with the legs on the right side!Unfortunately I discovered it after finish the colors!
I past most of this weekend redoing my website with a lot of help from my boyfriend (bless him!) and drawing very little, this makes me feel frustrated aaaaaahhh!!! But I'll have a brand new website in few days!
