Painting over digital print on canvas

I want to paint over a a digital image printed on canvas. Does anyone have experience with this?

I understand the ink used by the printer is waterbase. I'm looking for a finished product with some lasting power as far as not fading. No glass over it.

    Thanks for any advice.

I know it is possible to varnish the print with some acrylic medium and paint over it, but I don´t know what the archvial issues with this technique are.

this is the medium that can be used

Donato Giancola uses this technique for quite some time now, he has a tutorial on his site.

    Thanks dark,

The Liquitex is a good link. I'm going to start with some small canvas prints and see how it goes.
