    Monitor Calibration

    some days ago i did calibrate my monitor and i found that my pictures where amazingly darks, and also the colors looked completly different from what i sow on mi screen before.

    But i still unsure if i have my screen settings correctly so u guys tell me, wich one do you preffer?
    at the left one with my old screen settings and at the right one with a quick brightness correction with the monitor calibrated

    The version to the right seems obviously the right one.
    Anyway, there is some areas that should be darker so maybe your monitor is not displaying correctly all the values.
    Check this link about black level, you should be able to distinguish all squares from the black background.

    When you are saying you have calibrated your monitor, do you mean using a colorimeter like the spyder3?

    i am also wondering if my pictures are as i see them ,, i am using Digital Vibrance 70 , used before 50 and the monitors lacked color

    Windows 7 has a decent calibrator.
