    Talking chronopaint - daily paintings

    hey guys,

I have been painting in oils quite a lot the last months, so I decided to join the ranks and start a Daily Painting project. I try to post here too, have been absent far too long hehe

my first painting from yesterday, resting bumblebee on pear, oil on wooden canvas panel.

I´m elated if you decide to follow along on my journey at the related blog on

    CHRONOPAINT

every painting is available for purchase on ebay.

    yours truly,
    t

Great work! You can count on me coming back daily to see more work. I just love the texture you convey, especially in the apple one. The cookies are just a bit too uniform in shape and texture. Other than that, keep the great work coming! I can use all the oil painting inspiration I can get!

Thanks a lot Mark, great to hear you like them. I agree with the uniformity issue, it´s always a balance between going into too much detail and getting the right kind of texture for me. But I´m learning

I really like the contrast on the raspberries. Especially the highlights. I'm still amazed you can get so much detail on such a small canvas. Keep 'em coming! It's a great source of daily inspiration

@Mark: Thanks a lot, I´m glad you like it The details are more a suggestion than actually rendered btw. That´s the thing I´m trying to learn currently.

Beautiful paintings man, I really admire how you can pump out one of these babies everyday. I'd love to do something like this one day but painting is still quite a scary monster to me. Keep it up!
Woke up this morning, found out my signature was gone..

    Thanks very much Coen.
Yes, it´s scary for me every time I pick up the brushes, too But I guess that fear never vanishes, you have to find your way around it. I encourage myself by saying every mistake I´m going to do is a learning tool towards being a better painter.

    Thanks for watching.

i love the last one, the egg. it pops so well surrounded by the greys and i really love the almost over-emphasized reflective color on the bottom. i just love the (like you said) suggested detail. its really a clear sign of the artist-to-viewer interaction in these paintings. the painter paints suggested detail and the viewer's mind fills in and clarifies these details. excellently done.

    lookin forward to more!

hey man, your paintings are really cool ! i really enjoy the last 2 ^^ i think you're ready to paint different materials, like fold, metal, fur, glass, etc, it'll improve your skills, then, finally, you can go over portraiture and nude painting ! keep it up, and thanks for sharing !!

    Thanks kikiandaface.
Yes, other materials are definetely on my to-do list. Eventually it all comes down to painting the right values and temperatures though, but that´s difficult enough as it is hehe. I enjoy the simple forms of fruits, but if you are interested I have quite a handful of digital still life paintings where I depict all kinds of objects. Head on over to Boldheadstudio.
