Post New iPad Clones with Android 2.2 / Windows 7

Just released in SZ (China). New iPad clones run Android 2.2 / Windows 7 with "decent" hardware equal to iPad, supporting Flash 10.1 and HDMI interface.

    8" Android 2.2 aPad - 1GHz Cortex A8 Processor - 512MB DDR2

    10.1" Windows 7 ePad - 1.66GHz Atom N455 - 2GB DDR3 - 32GB SSD

Any reviews, discussion on those? I have laid my money down and waiting for the courier to show up. Been burnt before and not holding my breath, but as an ebook reader and wifi surfer?

aPad... and ePad... come on! This is so obvious and pathetic. What's next? aPhone and ePhone? Or wPad, zPad... And just look at it, they totally ripped the design. Very disappointed with MS. They just cloned Apple's product. Even the name sounds the same. Is that the best they can come up with?

Vari, I am pretty sure that they are no original MS products.

Those are made in china clones, there are more ... i have seen Ipet, Ibot and Ephone 4 ... and so on. Some even use the original name, there are even versions of Iphone a lot smaller than the original, iphone mini.
There are lots of DS, psp lookalikes too.
Most are pretty horrible but some look nice tho none ever comes even close to the original products.

I dont reallu care about the shitty copies, you can not expect all that much from some fake Iphone 4 for 50$

What i really hate are all the original Blackberry lookalikes from Nokia and others.
Blackberry is a hell of an ugly device, the only reason that plastic brick is so popular in asia because they have some neat online chat room service and ultra cheap voice messages. Adding friends by scanning their bar code is very easy too.
There are copies of everything in china and some copies are released earlier than the originals, they make them by looking at the promo pics.

Ups yeah, my bad. Only the OS is from MS. Thinking early in the morning is difficult for me. I'm not Apple fan, I even dislike how they want to make everything proprietary, but so many clones are just stupid. Tomorrow Apple with make red iCircle, a red pad in the form of a circle and you can bet that everyone will start making circular pads.

I did not know that about China. Sure they make everything in the world, but making them just from photos. Wow. Aren't they violating some patent laws or something? This is sort of a gray area for me. Looking at these two pads the first thing that comes to my mind is "Man, Apple must totally sue them!", but things in China are not always the same as in the western countries.

    thanks R a . n .. d ... i .... s

But the idea of an ipad which can run windows 7 just makes me wet. I wouldn't buy it even if i could afford it, but still, i revel in the idea.

too bad microsoft pussed out on the courier so they could make a sad, pathetic "me too". I wish Wacom would jump in the game. It's probably just a matter of time, til somebody puts the two together.
