I love your ink work man. You've got a smooth line quality, but you can make it gritty when it needs to be. Your detail is amazing as well, a couple of those frames really made me cringe. Keep it up!

    I'd buy a copy.

Were you set on self publishing this on your own?

I ask because if you were willing to let an independent publisher print these for you, it would mean you could get the book exposure at conventions. One of the books we sold out of at Wondercon was actually a project done for 24 Hour Comic Book Day. The work you've put into this is readily apparent, I'm sure you wouldn't have any trouble selling.

There is Comic Con coming up and also the Alternative Press Expo going on later this year, both excellent places to show off.

Only 9 people wanted print copies, not enough to bother the printer with.

"I don't think it would be possible to believe it was accidental. Although it is."

    Yep, thats crazy for you.

I cant wait to get the finished book.

Ok one thing, please please use some of the incredible B/W art from inside for the cover. Or just have it black. The colour covers you did really dont do the panels justice, the look all gothy and Matrixy and not at all like the jawdropping art inside.

I love the covers they made me want to read more of the story so I disagree.

I really wouldn't worry about Masons or Illuminati. The Masons are a dead and dying organization, who have experienced some attention from the curious in recent decades, but the reality of who they are sends newcomers packing soon enough. We've had several of the Masons amongst the membership body at The Abrahadabra Institute, and one in the leadership roster, who I do not get along with. A Mason in Scotland I am friends with says if you don't join them where he lives you can't do business in town. They're sort of a business mafia for Christians with very few occultists - those that are occultists are not very good at it. They are thieves as well, I've caught them stealing important TAI proof images several times without permission and had to take legal action against them.

The Illuminati doesn't exist - at least not under that name. There is the global power elite that controls the world's finances simply by having more money. They are no more malevolent or benevolent than any human, and no more occult either. Any occultists among them may tend towards any one of the billions of traps that befall any other occultist, and would not be interested in persecuting you for any sane, logical reason. Sure, maybe there are power elites that are also serial killers, but I really think the chances of this are so slim you needn't worry about it. Does the global power elite have access to life extension technology? I wouldn't doubt it. I really do not doubt we have immortals amongst us already, keen on shaping world events so that it does not bring about the fall of the planet. Humans are selfish creatures.

What you do have to be concerned about are the kingpins, particularily the fallen kingpins. These are not human at all, rather partitions of the collective unconscious, and the current zeitgeist is controlled by these. So you may be caught up in some sort of current. I would tend to classify this as the 777 current, that is, the grand scale of 7, so yes, very much Baphomet, also Babalon. Crowley says of it "The devils know it and fear it".

Anyways I've met Baphomet before. It's a very strong, I mean powerful, good archetype, probably native to the entirety human species from very early on (Africa). I expect it has something to do with the close links between goats, fowls and humans. Both are essential for early human civilization.

Tantric literature says that the nature of all males is Siva Bhairava, that is, the fierce aspect of Siva. And it is the power of Siva Bhairav to cause delight through terror. That is also in the nature of your work.

Great to see you still working!

If the publisher thing doesn't work out, you could try print on demand with ka-blam.com or lulu.com.
You don't have to put up any money and you make money when someone orders a copy.

"The possibility of immortality is interesting. I've seen the arguments about why it would be impossible, like, you can't upload your consciousness into a computer because it would be a copy, not you. There will be solutions. Instead of uploading your consciousness into a computer, how about replacing organic neurons as they fail with artificial neurons? You replace old cells anyway, it doesn't make you a different person."

A lot of interesting concepts there. Im not the same person I was a month ago. Based on new information I have now, I would answer a question differently than I would aged 6.
I find it ironic that religious, long obsessed with an immortal afterlife, might have a problem with upload immortality based on objections that the resulting entity would not be you.
I suspect mind uploading will happen, and in 200 years it will be completely normal, whether or not theologians and philosophers can get their heads round it. I know Id appreciate a back up in case I get killed in some accident. I suspect most people would feel the same.

Im sure itll all be a lot more iTunes than that, but yeah basically. They used to think the internet would be a huge library people could look up facts on. I mean, yeah, it is that, but look what else it is. Upload culture will be that much more complex. And Im sure even the most hardened against it, religious and secular, would eventually relent. Who wouldnt want to go to their grandkids weddings? The question is, are the resistors simply luddites, like the people who couldnt believe the human body could possibly travel on a steam train at more than 20mph and live, or are they right to be resistant? Do we know what we're getting ourselves in for? Nope.

I wonder if the inevitable medical ellimination of schizoid disorders will somehow neuter our creativity.
I remember in Known Space all Naval crew had artificially induced schizoid tendencies and flattening of affect to allow them to fight more effectively.

The reports about transcranial currents improving visual memory by 10% etc are interesting. A product with a suite of such tricks would presumably become a must have business tool, in the same way books and computers are. Then you get selection pressures doing their thing.. and eventually Morlocks hehe

I think Brave New World is such a clever book because the civilisation is based on very logical lines, and runs smoothly without war or famine, unlike our out of control freight train of a culture. But its still broken to the core and filled with inequality and frustration, or nullifcation through drugs and entertainment. I think it is prophetic in a subtle way.
Id be interested to ask what Brave New World reads like to the averagely intelligent person living in a shanty town or a war zone. Would it seem that dystopian materially or morally compared to trying to stay alive in chaos, while we live in comfort?
