    A List of Veteran's Day Free Meals and Other Veteran's Day Freebies

    Tip: Pay close attention to the date of the Veteran's Day free meal and what you need to bring so you qualify for the free meal. They don't all take places on Veteran's Day and some require different forms of I.D.


    1. Golden Corral Veteran's Day Free Meal on Monday, November 15, 2010

    On Monday, November 15, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Golden Corral will be giving out Veteran's Day free meals to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military.
    No identification is required to get your free meal

    Stop into a participating Applebee's on Thursday, November 11, 2010 to get your Veteran's day free meal. You'll be able to choose a meal from a limited menu that includes steak, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, salad, pasta, chicken, and shrimp. This deal is dine-in only and beverages and gratuity are not included.

    You'll need to bring in one proof of military service such as a U.S. Uniform Service ID card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings statement, photograph in uniform, be wearing your uniform, a veterans organization card such as American Legion or VFW, or a DD214.


    3. Chili's Veteran's Day Free Meal on Thursday, November 11, 2010

    Visit Chili's on Thursday, November 11, 2010, to get your Veteran's Day free meal if you are a veteran or on active military duty. You'll get to choose between 6 meals that include tacos, quesadillas, chicken, and pasta. This is dine-in only and beverages and gratuity are not included.
    You'll need to show proof of military service to get your Veteran's Day free meal.


    4. McCormick & Schmick's Veteran's Day Free Meal on Sunday, November 7, 2010

    You can stop into a participating McCormick & Schmick's on Sunday, November 7, 2010 to get your Veteran's Day free meal. Your free lunch or dinner entree will be from a limited menu including fish and pasta. Reservations are recommended.

    Bring in a form of identification such as your VA card, VFW card, American Legion card, discharge papers, DD214, or other veteran's ID.


    5. Outback Steakhouse Veteran's Day Free Meal on Thursday, November 11, 2010

    Find a Hy-Vee near you and call to confirm that they are participating.


    7. Hooters Veteran's Day Free Meal on Thursday, November 11, 2010

    Stop by Hooters anytime on Thursday, November 11, 2010 and get a Veteran's Day free meal. You'll get to choose between a two types of burgers, a chicken sandwich, or a barbecue sandwich. A drink purchase is required.

    You'll need to bring in a military ID or proof of military service. Click on the link above and then click on Participating Hooters to see a list of where you can get a Veteran's Day free meal.


    8. Knotts Berry Farm Military Tribute Days November 1-25, 2010

    This freebie is in honor of Veteran's Day but everyone can take part in it. Over 100 national parks will waive admission fees on Thursday, November 11, 2010 in honor of Veteran's Day.


    10. Free Hugo Canes For Veterans at Sam's Club November 10-12, 2010

    Sam's Club will be giving away 36,000 Hugo canes for free to veterans who need mobility assistance.

    A Sam's Club membership is not required but you will need to bring proof of military service. These are only available while supplies last.

    I don't think exploiting companies doing this for service members is a good idea...

    Even if they don't require ID / proof, if they say it is for only service members you should respect that (not only for the company, but for the service members that it is honoring). It would be crazy easy to photoshop your head into a service picture to take advantage of the offers

    I think this is just for awareness, not exploitation. We do have veterans here on CA.

    Exactly. I am a veteran and was posting it for the other veterans here...Even if you're not a vet, many families have siblings or a parent who is. I wasn't at all suggesting that someone exploit it, that would be disturbing.
