    Sup all,

    I already had a sketchbook but I hardly ever updated it. I hope this will change things!

    Here's practise stuff from today. 2 speedpaints, 1 h and 1h30
    Still very much searching methods to do paintings. First is started from black & white, then coloured over with blending modes. Second is direct color, with more brushes and alot more reference used.

    Here's practise on skin tones and trying a totally different brush setup:

    Crits? Crits!

    Happy international self portrait day

    First I did a shitty one that makes me look like an obese monkey:

    Then it pissed me off and forced me to do a better one later in the evening (took less time):

    I also did many A3s of Loomis studies but I'll post the studies later all at once when I scan them!

    Thanks for watchin'

    So here are some loomis practise sketches
    Still working hard at the mannequin phase - poses and proportions, but I feel I'm slowly getting better!

    And some random sketches from imagination:

    I'll probably take a bit of a break off 2D stuff now since I have LOADS of other work for school!

    Damn, those portraits are sweet!

    Here's a single sketch for today

    A space explorer off the international human space fleet ventures the surface of hazardous planet and hits a vein of Infinium, attracking numerous indiginous creepy crawlers. Obvious inspirations from starcraft and similar (although I've never played any of those games, but I've seen art of it here and there)

    EDIT: I couldn't resist and gave it some rough colour:

    @Highelf: Awesome concepts! I just can't do that, the whole background environment thing. WILL HAVE TO PRACTICE THAT.
    The artrage shazizzle is really dazzle. I love them some colours, but that's really hurtin my eyes x.x
    @Lav: Thanks! :]

    @ charlotje

    Dunno why but I prefer the pre-morecolour version of the angelhead one. I think the shadows look a little dirty like you used black to do them, while in the previous version its lighter and nicer on the eye

    Here's some random drawings:

    Not sure why you can't see the images, I can and I know some others who can, very strange!

    I used to upload to CA but I really dislike using the attachment manager, its very annoying. (no offence to CA, but yeah) and I upload to PB every time anyway (cause I link in other places too)

    Anyway I'll try to replace them when my internet isn't so slow anymore. (in a few days)

    You -so- gotta color in that house! It's the coolest thing ever!!
    And yeah, I just can't seem to get the colors right on this one. Still gotta fiddle with it, I think.

    @Lav, thanks! Crits are welcome!

    So charlotte pointed out to me I haven't drawn many girls lately - so I tried and realised I do kinda suck at it, so here's some practise. (mainly about faces, I'll get to female anatomy more in depth in loomis soon enough)

    All from imagination except the asian girl in the lower right, crits welcome!
