dia de los muertos themed halloween party... music?

ok, so saturday i'm having a huge dia de los muertos themed halloween party... ive got about 60 people coming and i have no idea what kind of music i should play.

i'm seriously at a loss here... my girlfriend wants FUN music, i was thinking more HAUNTING music...

she wants mariachi, i want glitch-mob

are there any dubstep/mariachi mashups out there?
    hahah

seriously though: any music suggestions in either direction would be awesome. maybe we'll just do a random mix.

    help!!

How does Glitch, Dub, or even Marachi have anything to do with Dia De Los Muertos?

ha, i never said any of the above had anything to do with dia de los muertos.

mariachi music falls under the category of "fun" and glitchmob/dubstep has a rather "haunting" vibe. dubstep also happens to be a safe bet with this crowd, i know a lot of these people dig it.

if anyone knows of any traditional dia de los muertos music let me know, cause my research has turned up nothing so far. the best advice i got was to listen to the music played in videos of a dia de los muertos festival and try to identify it and find it... i dont have that kind of time.
mariachi music has the right "sound" i guess, but how to mix it up with different genres (and WHAT genres) is the tricky part.

if it were up to me i'd be blasting the black keys, white stripes, black rebel motorcycle club, band of skulls, wolfmother, etc.
dia de los muertos?? nah. just music i like. haha

this is perfect! my girlfriend says "you get it"
i now have a plan: to find contemporary music with a latin flare. that gorillaz track is exactly what im looking for.
i need to scour my music collection for this type of gem.
if anyone can think of anything off the top of their head that will fit, like maybe calexico has a track or 2, Beck might even have a couple from guerro, please throw in your ideas!

    thanks!!

If you need some filler, look into the grim fandango OST

    Seems to fit the bill.

The obvious choice (please ignore obligatory Rodney Dangerfield movie tie-in cameos):

War is the band you are looking for.

I know this might seem corny, but give it a chance.

you can't have a dia de los muerto party without TEQUILA
