    What's your favorite comic/movie/book cover?

As an artist and a common entertainment lover, what cover do you like the most and why? Name anything from a comic book cover to a dvd cover or even a cd cover. Keep in mind that even though this is posted in the lounge this could helpful to anyone who might have issues coming up with cover ideas (including me sometimes).

Personally I can only think of a couple. I like Watchmen and Filth. Both are simple, graphic and eye catching. It's iconic and easy to remember. Covers that I don't like are the ones flooded with the main characters. Sometimes it's done very creatively, but a lot of times I find it bland.

james jean has dwarfed all other comicbook covers in my opinion. Unfortunately the comic it's self is not so much with the good.

This is one of those questions where I can't think of a specific one but know I'll think of loads over the next few days

But for now I thought I'd bring up the great Adam Hughes. (Lost fans like myself will recognise that number )

Oh yeah, James Jean and Adam Hughes make beautiful artwork. There was one Adam Hughes cover of cat woman that I thought was great.

I collect B-movie covers as well as old dos/amiga covers. Some -amazing- artwork there. A lot of unknown artists.

That was back in the day when the covers were used to draw the punters in because of the lackluster content inside. Much like the pulp fiction novels.

It's hard for me to pick real favourites, but here are just a few of my personal likes. If anyone knows these artists it would mean a lot to me if you could tell me their names.

And of course, my hero, Mccaig. The man who got me into fantasy.

To Duke: Everyone can post ANY favorite cover. I just posted comics because those are the only ones I can think of.

The Redwall book covers made me drool when I was younger, since I was obsessed with the idea of talking, human-like animals
I remember excitedly getting the one on the left from the library but unfortunatley, it was too complicated for me at the time, which was as taunting as putting a kid in a candy store with no money.

Makes me curious to read one now i'm all grown up

These are my three favorites. Its hard to believe what a shitstorm the national lampoon cover caused when it came out but it did.
