Which are you referring to. If it's the sketch stuff, then straight off the dome my friend, The gestures are posemaniacs.

111 hours in, I am beginning to see some tangible progress in that I'm less afraid of messing up.

    Newest piece.

I can see the improvement in your anatomy from your most recent piece! Keep up the gestures and observational anatomy studies, you're doing great!

Finally! The last sketch is cool, a little bit too stylized for me (you want to draw comics?). It shows strength and dynamic.
I think if you would bend the head toward the ground, there would be more tension in the sketch, like I'm-so-powerful-I-have-to-focus-on-my-powers-then-release-them-in-a-havoc-wreaking-blast.

I don't KNOW that I want to do comics, that's just the trajectory I'm on. This was a 30 min sketch, not time for rendering (at my speed). And I'll have to remember that little pose tidbit.

    124 hours in, sweet.

The official count is about 155h and 26m of drawing. What have I been doing so far?

Well, being out of school and barely employed, I find myself with a lot of free time. Time enough to start the book Nicolaides' "The Natural way to draw". Which is basically a years worth of study for the autodidact. I've started on monday, racking up 18 hours of drawing (more than I've ever done in school). The beginning had me doing gestures and contour drawing, there isn't much in the way of studies to show off, though the sheer output I've had is pleasing enough (I've since chewed through two 100 page sketchbooks).

197 hours in, the peak is long and far away.

So continuing with "The Natural Way to Draw", still pumping out hundreds of gestures. One of the other assignments include "Modeled" drawing. it's a kind of contour drawing. Here's a few recent ones.

Hey, you're 2.5% of the way there! That's pretty awesome when you think about it!

I'd suggest that you do more drawing from life and also practice your perspective a lot with simple shapes (cubes etc.) it'll really help with your foreshortening when drawing from your imagination.

I'm seeing definite improvement here though, don't stop!

Acrylics, and thanks for stopping in. Not dead, just real busy. Drawing of course, but I might be landing some paying work in the near future.

Here's a digital work, I've really gotten into astronauts.

Honestly man, thank you. I've been slacking with this thread and you've kind brought it to the forefront of my mind again. I'll be updating some time today with work.

I wouldn't however, studying from me. Maybe Empyrean, as he's much more prolific than I at the moment.

And books really don't matter, specifically. You can learn from anything. Is there anything specifically you want to know?

glad to be of help. I might start studying fantasy based or medieval type stuff so I can have more of a handle on more imaginary/creative art in a way.
