has a crew of 8, taking turns to man the platform, normally 1 person is outside at all times inspecting the submarine communications cable in their sector.

the orange section is a supply sub, every month another sub comes with an new crew of 8 and their food so that minimal time is wasted by transferring supplies and crew. The sub itself will attach to the platform for the remainder of that crews time at the platform.

To save space the cockpit of the sub is transformed into living space for 2 people at a time when docked with space for 2 more on the platform.

energy for the comm equipment, fresh water, oxygen (and everything else) comes from the turbine in the back.

its modular the bulges containing the communication equipment, work section, and airlock can be exchanged for newer parts as communication standards change or for a special occasion like an underwater lab for marine biologist to finish a month long study.

This submersible slowly travels along the sea floor, picking up intelligence using its various arrays, then taps into trans-oceanic communication cables to send encrypted messages.

I missed this week. I'll try a bit harder next week, though.

Great work JanJager and Cosmicwhale. I like the design of the top part of your platform, Cosmicwhale. I love the drama in your piece, JanJager.
