Where is a good place to find live cross sections of flesh underneath the skin like in anatomy books (just not as expensive, like on the interenet. By this I mean no drawings, nothing outside the flesh, I mean the real muscle on the inside. And I might as well just scan in one page from my sketch book. Im afraid that Im getting too "hogarth". Allthough, is it really that bad to gain some techniques from a variety of artists to help improve your own work? (Cant take a life drawing class right now unfortunatly)

buy a book on anatomy. There are plenty available. Bridgeman is a great one, but the best is Elliot Goldfingers anatomy book for artists. The best book, or best reference to muscles you will ever find period.

i have to agree with Ron the only thing that i would have to add is that Bridgeman is kind of exaggerated, this is done so he can explain and show what is talking about better. i have some friends who only do anatomy studies from that book and their figures always look to jacked and muscular. just wanted to share some thoughts. best of luck and just hammer those studies out.
