Hey Eew cheers for stopping by the ol' SB, i think the skulls are really helping you with the planes of the face and stuff, you can tell in your studies maybe your doing it subconsciously cos you've drawn it so many times haha! great stuff though i think your values are improving with each post!

Also I checked out the David Hockney guy but couldnt find the picture you was talking about and I study usually on a4 brown paper to get a little bit of detail and a midtone and stuff

Keep it up man il check back soon

fudgeloaf google this (david hockney mother portrait)and you ll get the photocollages on google images. thx man, i dont know how the charcoal skulls look like but each one takes about 1 hour to do, so for me thats an accomplishment already to work on one thing for an hour. Every drawing feels like a dark spooky forest im about to enter

i do daily posemaniacs and slowly start to understand what it is that im doing for 10 sec i only look at the angles of the shoulders and pelvis and add a head, 15 sec i try to show 2 lines(bottom and top of the pelvis) and focus more on proportions, 30 seconds... not sure yet but ill tell once i find it out.

Great lifedrawing man lots more detail in these images this looks like a solid way to improve your rendering that you were worried about, i would say watch the size of your heads though a few are getting a tad big in some pics but still looking great feature wise

    Gorgeous work, keep it up.

I find it curious and funny that you never really draw the teeth on skulls.

hücumkedi thank you, some of them start to look like me i think.
fudgeloaf thanks for the support man ! well i found out that pushing yourself and trying to learn everyday is actualy the only way to improve(still not as much improvement but ill get there) i actualy thought of your cc today i tried to get proportions more acurate on the lifedrawings
a la bapsi thank you, hearing it from somebody else gives me the motivation to push myself more. I do have a tablet and we have to draw together, is it on opencanvas ? Ill pm you
The Original [E] thank you for stoping by im glad you like them, there is a ton of mistakes but i am working on it
Oblivia Enna hey i knew this comment was coming, thing is.. my biggest problem is im not patient..so i almost only work on slowing down, taking my time to look , measure, draw repeat. When i look at the teeth everything becomes one big blur , but you are right, its time to learn to draw them too.

a la bapsi i was thinking, photobucket deleted a random sketchbook page for no reason so i want to know how long it will take to get the sausage doodles off... rahmetovruslan@hotmail.com should be my msn.

If my next update is not a huge amount of anatomy studies/ron lemens head studies and life drawings, i will give anyone who is going to the amsterdam workshop a permission to kick me in my balls !

one more from today, was thinking about Coro and Zhang Lu and how they never fix on one point, keep moving around an image adding and correcting as they go. I will probably work on this more tomorow, oh and as Ron Lemen explains in his dvd, i dont push on my pencil, just go over the paper surface very light. Now i only have to figure out how to get shadows realy dark ? Should i keep going over a spot to build up value or ?

BTW: construction is still off, the area from the bottom of the nose to the chin is to long but i think that can be fixed easy, its the pubic hair growing on my face that got me confused in the begining..Now i see the nose is waaaay off, and some other construction mistakes, silly... i'll start a new one. Got caught up in other things i guess.

more random studies and just more random things fomr past few days..ill uplad the rest of it soon, doubt anyone is interested to see, but it is a good way to keep track of things that i do and dont do.
So i copy Loomis for maybe a week now and the rest of the time i repeat the stuff from Ron Lemen's dvd. and then i doodle..

hey fudgeloaf: thx man, i look forward to the workshop ALOT ! i do but the thing is that they take away my attention when i should be doing studies.. here is a page that started as a dedicated study, somewhere i lost focus and started drawing those retards... they suck, but as im moving on with the studies ,step by step i start to understand how things work and look ( i study from loomis, bridgeman and some other huge anatomy book..) Bridgeman is the best ! once i remember the muscles i use bridgeman to understand them better. Maybe i should show more, but its just so boring to look at.
