Oh thank you both! Surprised to see comments just out of the blue, without me bumping the thread!

Here is something that is pretty much a ripoff of one painting I saw in /ic/ quite some time ago. It was either by parsakoira or tehmeh, I don't remember. (I tried skimming your threads but to no avail)

Hi Patonki, nice sketchbook!! The second page just rocks...amazing art.

The face being distorted by the hands, on the second page could be painted on traditional media, big, in oils or acrylics...it would probably be outstanding.

I'll subscribe, i have to follow this.
    Keep going.

    @Henrique Ventura
Thanks a lot! I've had oils for a while now, but I haven't produced anything coherent yet. I also don't have turpentine or other solvents.
I'm interested in oils, but can't really muster the inspiration to begin practicing.

Nice sketchbook! Maybe if you could try drawing with less lines it would help you have crisper sketches and lines. It would also help you to gain confidence in your drawings.

Good luck and keep up the good work!

I just love the use of colors and the constant feeling of uneasiness in that film!
definitively one of the best I've seen, I just re-watched it with my girlfriend.

One of my favourite scenes is when Floyd and two other engineers are on their way in a shuttle to the TMA01 dig site, and theyre all terrified, but they chat amiably and have sandwiches and coffee. Im a space nerd so love all the kind of Right Stuff bullshit of the old Apollo and Gemini guys. Supercool.
What really blows my mind is 2001 was made the year before anyone got to the actual moon..

Good sketches, particularly the one of daves face bathed in instrument light

    - And can you now change that title of your sketchbook! VERY misleading!

Wooo. nice craggy face yet managing to keep it looking simple. I'd be hard pressed to do the same without messing it up with too many brush strokes. Keep it up!

    Some churaaazy brush texture stuff

I need to do one more of these with blue as a dominant color, and my unintentional set is complete.

Well today I decided to start a new project, and begun destroying one of my unfinished pieces. I thought it looked great when I was destroying it, so I took a different direction

hi, you have such light, bright pictorial style, like it

if you want to create enviros do a lot of landscapes studies (photos) maybe custom shapes technique will help you

Thanks! But can you elaborate what to do with my forms? I thought they were a bit rigid, and I've tried loosening up.

Ughhh I overworked this and it looks pretty bad
