A couple of super-quick portraits from this afternoon.

    WIP#1 for this week's CHOW.
I'm going to do it as a high-fantasy beer calendar for the back wall of the tavern.
    Fun fun!

Who DOESN'T like photo studies of Han Solo?

    Only enemies of freedom.

This was really a kick in the pants to do - I sort of wanted to do it up with some of the painted feel of one of those Star Wars movie posters.
Probably 2.5 hours of painting time.

Great work, totally digging your colors. That Han is outta the park too. Keep it up, nice sketchbook and very inspiring.

Hyptosis - Thanks much! I appreciate it

The Sceptical Saint - Thanks! I've you've got any process questions that the anims don't show, lemme know and I'll tell you what's going on -

Han was so fun, why not do another, sez I?
Farm boy here took about the same amount of time - 2.5 hours or so.

    Maybe Billy Dee next!

    Busy day today!
This is close enough to Han Solo, right?

Anyway, Malcom Reynolds photo-ref painting. About 3 - 3.5 hours on this one - took longer for whatever reason than the Star Wars sketches. Fiddly clothes, I guess! Went for a less saturated color palette, more dusty-western.
