    Jonas' sketchbook (how original)

Hey! My name is Jonas, and I'm a student Digital Arts and Entertainment (or short DAE) I'm gonna start uploading some stuff from last year, even I'm not really proud of it :l but I guess it's a good way to show my 'progress'.

    Cheers!

I'll start with a pic for this topic and last years first semester assignment; designing a house for a particular character:

Three monkeys - hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, but in a modern way (Really don't like it, but hey, bad things will be shown too :p)

Oh and some centaur; body part's a lion. I started painting the centaur but got stranded somewhere else:p

2nd year, 2nd semester - the design of a character and the production of a matte painting.

First, there was the design of different characters, took a favorite and worked that one out. Later on, the matte painting was born:

The characters is the fixer, the guy that welds stuff and hits pipes with his wrench. The man that keeps the engines running.

Hey thanks for the reply! I know i need to work on the anatomy, that's why I'm trying to improve by drawing from reference and trying to understand the human body, however when I'm just sketching from my mind, the characters come out cartoony.

    I really need some practice
