    Necessary madness

...much suck is afoot up in hea.

I had to reboot my sketchbook because the other one was a major failure. Hope that's alright.

This first thingy is pretty much an experiment in futility. I rarely finish anything, so I decided to set out to just... play. Trying new techniques, new brushes, etc.

All crits and tips are tremendously appreciate, 'specially the composition!

welcome to your brand new sketchbook. *___*
i'm excited to see how that piece fans out. whether you finish it or not, it's always good to make sure it's a good learning experience for the next piece you hopefully will finish. haha
keep it up, and I hope to see more posts by you in here.

    Thanks!

Here are a couple of early morning warm ups. Not happy with the standing one. Busy Saturday planned but hopefully I can get more of the piece in post 1 done.

More work on the girly. Some studies for my analysis of form class. I swear I take more "Draw spheres and cubes" classes than anything else lol!

And yes, the sphere IS levitating. I r majick. It was sitting on my wedding ring because it kept trying to roll away like the naughty little ball it is!

I like your sketch work, and I definitely can empathize with not knowing where something is going, just playing even if that doesn't lead to an end.

Hi, I suck at updating this piece of crap.

The first is the final rendering of the torso above. Second is a plaster head that I got a B on (woohoo!), and the last is my progress on my final project.

Value study. It's absolute crap but what can you do? About 2 hours on this one (give or take since I kept getting distracted...)

Great sketchbook so far! Love the Dr. House drawing and I can't wait to see the girl finished. I hope you do finish it The black and white portrait is lovely as well. She reminds me of an actress.... I can't think of her name.

Xanthocyanopsy - I bet you're thinking of Rosario Dawson (I think that's her name). I actually used a random stock image from DA, but she ended up looking more like Ms. Dawson LOL! Thanks for the post

Value study I've been working on for about 7 hours. It's still rough in most areas, but it's coming along. Slowly, lol. I'm beginning to learn how to work faster though, so that's good

Here is what I've submitted for this week's ChoW. I really should have spent some more time on it. After a couple of days, I can now see what's truly wrong with it. Oh well, everything is a learning experience, and therefore not a total waste, right?

I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's a doodle of a water bottle.
