Arrow Metal Gear Solid -Twin Snakes!!! this Wed!

Man-O-Man. I don't know about you guys, but I am a complete Metal Gear NERD.

Ever since the 2nd came out I day dreamed about them remaking the 1st with the new graphic elements. AND HERE IT IS!!!

    MGS: Twin Snakes!

I haven't really played my games for about 6 months now but, I will definitely find time for this!

I have no time or money but, IT MUST BE MINE!!!!!!!!

    What do you guys think?

    -Joshua

the original metal gear on ps1 is one of the best games of all time IMO

im sure the graphical overhaul will be nice--but i kinda liked teh rawness of those old graphics--i probably wont have time to play it--
but JOSHUA--tell us how it is after you play through it

oh man, i have to wait till the 26th. cos i live in uk. but i cant wait.

its like the first game, with the graphics (if not better) from the second.... the best of both worlds.

i played SoL on the my brothers ps2 and i must say (even though i am i nintendo freak and hate playstation (and x-box)) it was one of the best games i ever played. at least on a ps2. the amount of detail and all the little things you can do. like the dog tags. etc man, i had nearley all of them, but it was tough.
i put my name up for a dog tag for this gamecube one ages ago. so if you see mirlo cai cardenas, its me so dont shoot :p

i cannot wait for this. i played the original on my cousins ps1 when it first came out. and i was amazed. i was like "woah, the guard heard your footsteps in the water. man he's like a real person..." etc :p

and apart from mariokart 64 and supermari 64 and zelda oot, this is one of the most played games ever for me. the original and ps2 one i meen. so i'm really looking forward to this.
plus sillicon kights did a real good job on eternal darkness, so i hope they did a killer job on this. the reviews seem very good. though i dont follow reviews much. i prefer my own review of a game.

ok, i'm typing too much i'm just so excited. hey jason and anyone else, post your reactions to the game when you get it, though no spoilers :p

Damn do those old PS one screenies look crappy against the new cube ones! I didn't remember them being so bad.. But hell yeah, this game rocks.
I played it on my good ol' mate the ps1. As I don't have a gamecube I won't be able to test the new version, but I'm sure it is an exciting game.

Oh hell yea I'm getting it

Sillicoln Knights + Hideo Kogima + Shigeriu Miyamato

how can it not be magic? even if follows the origional completely the graphical overhaul will be eye-candy (I still do like the old chunky-ness, you have to agree that to scale of what the PS1 could do Metal Gear Solid is one of the greatest looking games ever)

I'm just excited that Miyamato and Kogima worked together as friends on this one, to think if both the two leading game designers got together on another title - could redefine the industry.

tyboogie, Miyamoto was the person who introduced Silicon Knights to Kojima. so his role was pretty quite but very important.

got the game yesterday and remembered how short the one for psone was. game still rocks though. the new tactics from Metal gear sons of liberty makes this game completely different in my opinion.

I don't think the game is short at all! It's like a long dope movie.

It's insane how much I suck at Metal Gear... damn...

This one's so damn hard with the new AI but the old levels desing around the old AI .. no hiding spots and what-not .. I'm enjoyin' gettin' my ass whoped... But it does suck that when you get caught 3 guys automatically spawn around you .. pretty much if you get cought you have to take a bathroom break whilst they kill you so you can start again : D

Ty - Miyamato played his usual role of lead producer, or complete project control, and Kojima did his usual directing and level-design. Overall not much was needed on the project, just graphic revamp... I just hope it was an excuse for the two to rubb elbows and see how they could put their creativity to a new project

Did you guys know that Kojima built the entire origional Metal Gear Solid in Legos back when he first designed it?

    New Twin Snakes opinion!

It's only 1/2 good...Lots of little things are unnecessarily changed..but there are also lots of new cool tib bits.

It's a must have for any Metal Gear fan...

I still choose the original over this. arrgg but it's still damn fuN!!!

man, i finaly got this game last friday. its great.\

i think it was a mistake starting on very easy setting. i completed it in just 2 days. but then i still wanted more (a common thing among metal gear games) so i decided to up the stakes and jump in the deep end. i'm now playing extreme with "game over if caught" so now its rock hard. but i am loving every bloody second of it. even though i know know the stoy and what happens etc, i am loving it 200% more than when i first played it on friday. right now i'm on the rock hard boss with liquid snake in the helicopter, its solid () but i'm loving it, and i think i should be able to beat it tonight when i play some more (i'm drawing right now)

on very easy i got all the dog tags except 4. right now, on extreme i have got all of them so far, so i hope i can get them all.

anyone got the camera? i've taken loads of photos (damit i need another memory card ) also, some of the objects go... "funny" if you take a snap shot of them. i wont ruin it incase someone hasnt had it hapen yet, but just remember to check your photo gallery every once in a while when you take new shots

man, i love this game!!! sure, its just a remake, and sure, the level design is dated, but i BLOODY LOVE IT!!!!

anyone else feeling the love of metal gear?
