Hi folks. I've been working on this painting for a while. It's a personal piece and kind of a long term project because I have work and school I have to focus on most of the time. This is really cool, the detail is awesome and I love the weirdness to it. Even the little folds of skin in the arm (at the elbow) adds an extra nice level of detail. I would like to see the piece completed with a background but I would say keep it simple as you don't want it to clutter the image. Maybe a little more attention could be paid to the adornments and petals in the hair?

    Great work

Hi. Thanks for commenting. The piece is not finished yet. I will put in a background later, but like you say, I think I'll keep it quite simple. Also I haven't paid much attention to the hair yet. I'll keep posting my progress.

Thanks again for your kind comments

yo yngvill, this is awesome! I think I'm going to have some real scary, yet really cool nightmares after this. My god, if I came across that hideous looking horse hag in the forest, I'd shit myself! And then I'd be like, "cooool"!

Based on this piece alone, you've got a real gift for the horrific and fantastic.

Amazing thing is that this piece looks great even in the earliest stages. I agree with the previous poster: be careful not to distract with the background. Keep us updated, please.
