    Environment

Hi all. I just finished these two paintings for our first mandatory school assignment of this year. Earlier I've been very focused on characters, but lately I've tried to work on my environment skills. I'd like to hear what you guys think.

I spent about a day and a half on each of them.

I like them a lot. I currently struggle a lot making enviroments. It works ok, when I work black and white, however I have such a hard time making things look good in color.

I think you've found a really nice balance within your colors and tones. I wish I knew how to do the same.

You've got some really great concepts here! I think you could bring in the darks even more to really make the glowing aspects pop.
    Great job, post some more!

nice work and concepts, perhaps something else to consider is adding some small birds flying or leaves blowing in the wind

I agree it would probably bring more life into the image. But according to the story (which I'm not completely comfortable to share atm) this world has no weather or animal life. It's a place that exists between life and death and so I tried to convay a sence of tranquility, calm and scilence. I'll probably post the story some time, but I still need to work on it some more

I like your painting. The natural environment, encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally on Earth or some region thereof. This report suggests a tiered approach to analyzing problems and ascertaining suitable policy responses.
