You've got a really cool style man. That last drapery study is sweet, too.

Sprogis, I totally understand where you're coming from. The sketchbook section is a strange one - sometimes you will get lots of replies, sometimes you can get buried almost instantly! Like you, I enjoy comments when they arrive, and can be a bit disheartened when they don't. I guess it reminds us that the artistic pursuit is a solitary one, and that our own journey is more important than the opinion of others... I am totally rambling!

You're doing tremendous work. I'm in awe at your characters. They have so much life in them, and you have a really clean visual style as well. Keep it up man

    Best,

    Cedric

Glass Eye - thanks for droppin by, glad you liked em!

Iven - ill try to get some roughs up and I go to Sheridan College. You gotta open up your horizons, don't focus on 'your style', be broad and study from life and a style will evolve.

Lightship - as always thanks for stoppin by, your continued support means a lot.

Some Drawings from tonight....been slacking on the still life studies because of freelance work but Ill get back on the wagon soon.

I would like to see some more of that still from the film you are doing, its kinda tantalising just getting a glimpse like that "you big tease you!".
From what I can see it sort of reminds me of the organic look that Rodney Mathews gets in his artwork, and I simply love that guys work especially on the "Magnum" Lp covers, I say LP because they used to come on this dark plastic stuff called Vinyl that played beautifully and needed a great big sleeve for artwork, lyrics and nonsense.

anyway if you are interested have a look :- http://www.rodneymatthews.com/

Anyway enough rambling show me more!!

LOL all the best with the project my mate.

He he he I like cats, you never own a cat it just lives at your house until it gets sick of you and moves on.
Throw a dog on the street and it will pins at your door and starve to death, a cat will just say stuff you mate and move on to somewhere else, they are far more intelligent.
loads of gesture and potential movement in thts image too buddy, like that a lot its ooozing character!!

    all the best

    Hey Sprogis,

I am SO glad to see you back and active here again! You are one of my inspirations and I hope that your absence was purely in the name of art&money
Your works are really dynamic and memorable- I think I could draw the pelican on the wooden pole from my mind right now- I think that is worth a lot (certainly in logo design it is!)
Sorry that I can't give any valuable critique, hope you'll stick around in the CC section though!

Seriously, that is the sort of stuff people say who never owned a cat! They are very attached and don't leave humans randomly. I'm not sure how much value I'd put in a dog starving to death... I like intelligent things. More love for cats!

Thanks LordLouis! No on has really said anything like that about my work so I'm really happy to hear it. I was in California working 18 hours/day this summer so I didnt have time to post much or give crits but its good to be back. Haha My cat is really affectionate towards people, not your typical house cat for sure. I think I captured the essence of her.

    Tofa: thanks for droppin by!

Ill Buny: t hanks dude much appreciated!
