Icon Moral of the story- Don't fuck with Canadians

The year is 2023- A dramatic increase in homefront attacks by militant Canadians forces the US Government to make certain Bond-like self-defence "upgrades" to the presidential limo.

KarylGilbertson, my favourite entry. the little description(s) work really well and I like the Bond-influence especially in the front with open hatches showing the missiles you mention. my vote.

Tec, apart from what I said in the wip thread, this still is a rocking design. and so well painted. the front looks a bit out of perspective though, or is it not supposed to be symmetric? not limousiny enough for my taste but a sick concept

Sylvain-Klein, looks awesome. your rendering and believable design are great. what bothers me are the round openings where you'd usually have the tires.
As the car obviously doesn't need wheels and can hover or glide I don't see the point in having these shapes just because we're used to them. On first sight it felt to me like it was missing the wheels.
maybe a more unconventional way of integrating these glowing devices could make the design work together a bit better.

Hey Raoul, your piece is looking way better. I don't think Pixie Trick can add things once the poll is up, sorry. The perspective is a lot more believable, and it's got a cool 60s movie poster vibe to it. The figures are really cool and full of life, too. However I don't think it really lives up to being a "concept" drawing simply because you can't see the actual vehicle well enough to know how to make that into say a movie prop or 3D model. The drawing looks solid, though, underneath all that graphic stuff. Nice work!

Yeah I had to rush it. So I went for atmosphere. Honestly I'm not happy with the perspective or the values. I'm not used to solving these kinds of problems.

I'll be back in a month and I'll be spending more time at the IDW challenges. This was a very helpful learning experience and that's all I was hoping for.

Very nice to see such strong entries! Usually there is not too much going on in the industrial design of the week challenge. This time, all four entries are quality entries!

I voted for Tec, 'cause it's just such a cool vehicle! I want one! Good job on the rendering too.

yeah, the front is awkward. i finished my entry around 5am in the morning...and had to work the next day ^^. not the right time to render a complex shape in perspective....I'll rework the front and post it in the WIP thread later on

    monotony
i voted for your entry...it's the only one which doesn't look like a normal limousine and i think creativity is the most important criterion...love your unique approach

    KarylGilbertson
always these damn Canadians. great rendering and detailed concept

    Sylvain-Klein
great ID style and rendering....like monotony already stated the floating devices would look a bit cooler if they wouldn't resemble wheels...but otherwise its a very slick final entry.

    Hey all great entries!
My vote goes to Sylvain-Klein, because this comes closest to what i expected (like the style and the mood)

Tec: Great design and shape really good work - but not a limo at all

monotony: Great work and well done, but looks more like a mad max version of the papa mobil

KarylGilbertson: Great work, nice rendering - a little to conventional for me.

Raoul Duke: Really like the style of the pic
