A Fury Of Aces (Waipunga's significant other Work)

    Hello All,

My name is Steve Wheeler. I am a sculptor, knifesmith and swordsmith.

I created a Universe called "The Sphere" some two years ago. And I have been quietly populating it with stories and machines. The project will take another three years to complete. From here on I shall post the WIPs of the machines, concept drawings, and progress reports as well.

Here are a few of the machines:

Started a new build late Friday. Called "Chrysops". Cool name for "biting fly"! LOL

Parts of motorcycle kits(yamaha yzr500, hawker harrier, card, one of my standard seats, spoons, gundam parts and putty. Always interesting builds in that I only have a rough idea of what they will turn out like.

Yeah well.......... sometimes a photo is just the meanest thing! Looking at this now I can see what I have to re-do!! As I no longer like the rocket mounted the way I have. Also need to shorten up the winglets as well.

This is so cool! I love the designs! Must be awesome to have all those models with you.
Do you plan to make environment models as well?
Great work! Thanks for the inspiration!

When in doubt, run and shout.

Some very original work. Thanks for sharing. You must have a ton of little parts and pieces to create that sort of thing.

Hey Guys, thanks for the comments, most appreciated.

Environment models Windmaker? Had not really considered such. Must give that some serious consideration. Thanks for the idea.

Yeah Traveler, I have boxes of kits, hundreds in fact! And then bins of all sorts of interesting little parts as well. Great fun and I highly recommend it to all sentient types as it is a blast!

    Thanks Docdee. Hardcore fun!

More paint work to follow and I have started the pipe work around the engines. Fussy work as most of it is lead solder which is so easy to damage. In fact I have a set of little wooden tools I made up for the job.

    Hey guys!
Sorry for the long absence. Been doing a few 'things' like Props Weapon Maker on Hobbit ( had to live in Wellington for two years away form home), wrote another two books (Published with Harper Collins) , and built a few more pieces. But I am back on the case and back in the Forums.
    Cheers
