    Mr. Urbane's Daily Sketchbook

Hey guys hows it going. My names Barry. I have been a fan of this site for sometime now and wanted to start a sketchbook to tract my progress.

I'm a college student living in Fort Worth, Texas. I use to draw as a child but stopped for one reason or another. I work as a Cadtech for a surveying company so I never really got out of the habit of drawing. This site has inspired me to get serious about my art and take it to heights I never thought was possible. Im actually thinking of majoring in Fine Art. I have two years to think about it so until then I want to concentrate on getting better.

I have done a couple of things in my sketch book that ill post.....now lol. Looking for critics so don't be afraid to say anything (harsh or not). Also don't have a scanner so sorry if the pics or crap. Sooooo..... here we go!

Very cool life studies so far and that's ok about the crappy scanning since everyone has to go through that once in a while. And I really like the alien head concepts so far.

Glad you made a SB cool stuff. just keep working hard at it and you will improve a ton. As long as your drawings your not wasting time lol . Not sure if this has already been brought up or not but you should get yourself some anatomy books. you can get Bridgman and Loomis for free on the web, just look around, I like to use Scribd.com. Keep grinding away. There is a link to a TON of tutorials in my signature, take a look and see if you like any of them. Feel free to add to it if you have any that you don't see up there . Have fun.

@Diarum - Thanks for the comment! I have bought a couple of anatomy books and I will for sure check out the Bridgman and Loomis anatomy books. I can feel myself improving the more I draw. Some poses are harder than others though lol.

@Forrest_I - Thanks for the comment man!
