    HDTV vs. Monitor

So I'm wondering if there are any benefits or downsides to using an HDTV vs. a regular monitor. My understanding is that an LCD HDTV is basically an LCD Monitor with different packaging, but I may be wrong.

Thoughts on this? The thought of photoshopping on a massive 32 inch HD display is making my mouth water. (There's a 720p on Woot right now for 299 USD, if case anyone is interested).

Anyone know anything about dynamic range, response times...? I've been out of the hardware search for a while now.

Compare the dot pitch, black levels, color gamut, image quality, etc
